The guy did have 2 terrible tragedies in his life - the loss of his first wife and young daughter and the loss of his oldest son. But, he also chose to lie about each of them. He blamed the death on his wife and daughter on a DUI truck driver. That has been proven to be totally false. He blamed the death of his son on burn pits in Iraq. His son died of brain cancer. Medical science has found zero connection between brain cancer and burn pits.
