On my Mom’s side of the family.... my grandfather was 1 of 9 brothers. All were in WWII, and fought in combat units. I believe 5 were in Europe, and 4 were in the pacific. All 9 made it home alive. Those are some amazing Odds !!!

I don't see anything about Gold Star families online yet, but if you are service connected you can get a pass. I have this pass and it is good at thousands of places including BLM beaches on the lake / river. You get 50% off of the use fees.

Thank you to all that serve.
My Grandfather served in the Army in WWI, My Dad in the Navy in WWII and my Uncle in the Marines in Korea. At 18 years old I received a high draft number (324) in 1974 and didn't get called up to go to Vietnam.
My uncle, in the Marines was killed in Korea before I was born. Based on the stories the family heard and the letters from his commanders he was a real bad ass.

It was have a drink on me night to Celebrate our vets. Started a little too early possibly.
Any who, I bought way too many rounds for some and not enough for others.
Lesson was as I stood back and watched, Don't spew your liberal shit to Marines/Army. I did apply a tourniquet to one pour soul.
