Still pretty typical at home. Low-mid 30s during the day and mid-20s at night. We will have a couple of cold snaps, but it will be pretty consistent most of the season. Kids took the granddaughter (4) skiing for the first time yesterday. She said, "I wish I could ski forever."

It has been about 55 hours below freezing here, they are saying over 100 hours total it isn't supposed to be above 32 until Thursday.

How about STAY FUCKING HOME if you've driven in snow 3 times in your life.

I made good money from the PHX flatlanders when I was towing in Flagstaff.
Flagstaff gets nearly double the snowfall that Fairbanks does.
It's amazing the number of 4x4s that wound up in the ditch.
I never had the luxury of 4wd in the wrecker.

Like the snow.....for a few days :)

My drive to work this morning...
The roads really weren't bad. Just got screwed behind the plows. Good entertainment watching fools try to sneak around them.
Low single digit Temps tonight.

I was up in Flagstaff a while back, their first snow of the season. It's a mountain town, and I assume people live there year round. I felt like a seasoned professional, ice road trucker. Subarus were sliding, I didn't even know they could. AWD Yukon on it's lid. Roads like shuffleboard, cars in ditches and on sidewalks. It couldn't have been but 4 inches of snow.
Couple years ago we went to Grand Cyn, we stayed in Williams but drove to Flag for dinner, our first night as we were leaving for Flag it started snowing. I had zero issues in my FWD Flex

We don't know that Celsius stuff too well.

That's 16F, right? Hell, it was 21 when I got up this morning...and I'm in AZ.
Got us beat 23 here in Levelland, its the 7° wind chill that hurts face! Yes! first snowfall. How much? As my Job Corps Super back East in Maryland would say, "Just enough to piss you off.." !°°!

Fuck me......so we got lots of rain yesterday but not cold enough to snow or ice which equals sticky mud out here. I went to bed last night and watched the football game....son took the dogs out.....mud in the house everywhere this AM :( So before I even get that cup of coffee sweeping and mopping, cleaning couch covers, dog beds....you name it as they are all covered in mud......what a friggin mess.....even his clothes are muddy hanging at the table......I am sure there is some kind of explanation that makes sense but........

Ohhhh....before I started the clean up had to take the pups out......Phx is the only one not leashed.....she decides to roll in some mud. Bitch is outside on the back patio now till I can get to her and clean her up.

agggggghhhhhhhhh

Texas mud is kind of "slimey", where Oklahoma mud is a bit more "sticky". It's weird, the Texas stuff comes off fairly easy when dried, Oklahoma mud takes a chisel
I have lived in both but in OK we were just kids and don't remember the mud but the heat kicked our ass in OK back then though. Went thru some tornado stuff as well. Only good thing there was the football and baseball programs were outstanding for all us boys. Lawton OK....

Alright....time to go attack the cleanup of Phx outside now....

Dreading the trip outside with the pups after basically cleaning the entire house and back patio......lol

Even the water bowl outside was full of mud. Asked my son what was up with that....

"I dipped their paws in it to clean them off as much as possible"

Friday 1 pm College Station. 41 degrees with a north wind 15 to 20 + gusts to 35. Tomorrow morning 29 degrees. I'm going thru a lot of fire wood. I HATE winter.

Cold cold cold. 24 outside and everything is frosted over. Looks like no go on the snow for us.

I had to kick the front door open. It was frozen shut. Lol

Even the mud is frozen so no pup mess today. Not yet.

Making some cinn rolls now. Nothing like some good warm cinn rolls with a cup of coffee on a cold morning.

Nice little coating for us. Should be lite snow until early afternoon. Not much more than an inch or so total.

I have a heat lamp in the well house and a portable heater in the 5th wheel as well as insulation on the pipes. 5th wheel I winterized a few weeks back. Just want to keep it all above freezing.

The property around the house is flat, that snow hill is all drift.

I used a heater wire on the pipe in the well house. Seems to be working, thermometer in the well house hasn't dipped below 35, even when it got down to 25 outside.

This little guy didn't fare so well last night...

We got about 8 inches here in Alvord, TX. The kids had a blast with 2 days off of school. Apparently it was a huge party with the whole town running around in sxs's. I wouldn't know because I went to work. At least there was no traffic, they really did just shut down almost everything.

They tell me it happens once a year. Not much different than the high desert.

Right? It gets cold and snowy up there as well!!

One year, all the lines in my toy hauler froze overnight. 😱

I was happy to head home from That trip. 👍🏼

Good luck to all you guys. Stay safe and warm!

Saw the forecast while we were driving home from the beach. Luckily, I know the drill and have all the stuff on hand to quickly winterize the travel trailer. Came home and had it buttoned up before it got dark out. Weather turned cold the next day.
