This is the lounge and not the P&G.

Out of respect to Dave’s rules let me just defer to your views on the role of private enterprise versus government manipulation and control of economic production here in the lounge. 👍
I will own my mistakes, I should not have responded to your BS in this forum as I did. I would really like to continue this discussion in the P&G forum and discuss further in unencumbered fashion.

In other posts you have said US based manufacturing doesn't add high paying jobs. In my mind, this just proves you have zero comprehension of what it takes to manufacture things. Lets start from the ideologist, lets say you find a beneficial reason to build a design, then manufacturing plant in the US for some widget, car, helicopter etc. Land has to be purchased. A develop[er has to be engaged. An architect, structural engineer, civil engineer has to do a shit ton of work to design and engineer the building.
A bid process has to occur involving general contractors, then sub contractors. The construction manager firm approves the bid, final construction docs are approved, JHA's review and approve the permit docs. Contracts are written, contractors are hired, vendors are hired, highly skilled labor and construction management are hires and work on said project. JHA inspectors, skilled tradesmen are employed for the duration of the project. When the project is completed a staff of technicians and management take over the facility and manage it.

Please tell me where just one of these positions in completing this objective requires a low skilled and paying position?

Then their is the upside of raising property taxes.... state income taxes, gas tax revenue etc.

Again, tell me how bringing back manufacturing to the US is a bad thing. Ever wonder why every other country protects their manufacturing base except the US? if you do, you are fucking idiot.
It’s not a bad thing that shit sailed long ago

Selective views a in dynamic situations are easy pickings for people that prey on ignorant people. Ignorant in politics is such a despicable term but is entirely accurate. Most people are so busy with life they are not able to or interested in truly investing undivided attention to the cess pool of politics. It’s a despicable business, but the more you pay attention to it the more you understand how it affects you directly. The modern day democrat party is so so for over the ski tips, driven by the chaotic, fringe freaks on the far left that there political bent will soon become a thing of the past. Common sense in my mind says that the small percentage of the US population that screams the loudest got the attention. But that isn’t longed lived. That is human nature. Normal, sane people take a step back and try and comprehend the the loudspeaker minority, but when that severely impacts the typical American, they start paying attention and being involved in voting.

Most normal legal Americans understand this, but 530 seems to need it spelled out for him/ her/ she/ whatever.

The majority of the US population still has common sense and that was in full effect in the last presidential election. Most voters are not knowledgeable about the real issues and stance of each parties policies, but the Biden administrations policies were so bad and adverse for even the uninvolved US voter they started paying attention. The Democratic Party is dying a self inflicted death. When they allowed a fringe portion of the far left dictate their direction they signed their death certificate as a political party.
