My day… hell I am recovering phuemonia. Wrapped up my final dosage of anti biotics…
My day is a home office day… followed up cooking dinner at home. Why cause I have been sick as hell for the last 2 weeks.

People are free to chose how they live their lifes.
I for one, would not be going to any concerts or public venues with the shit thats going on today. If you have not watched the news today, I suggest to take a gander.

The volume of people at the Pro Hamas/ Pro Palestinian protests all across the US is quite concerning to me. The fact we have that many people who truly hate Jews and the US in the US… should concern everyone of us. Combine that with the shit going on in US Universitys from our own college kids…

Yeah… I will live my life the way I chose and that starts with limiting my exposure to stupid. A key reason why I left SoCal 18 months ago. Posted on lots of threads on that subj.. So yes. I am very conservative especially with my family's safety. Have been for a very long time.

But did the threats of Hamas change my plans today NO… , But I still stand by my earlier post and advice to my friends of RDP. Head on swivel and avoid large gatherings.
You do you and hope your recovery goes well... All good. I tend not to pay attention to the news media cause its skewed so what your watching is not entirely real. What you see on TicTok, IG and X is not entirely real... those vids earlier were last weekend from a couple small rallies in NY and a couple other spots...It was not a rally today, and not widespread when consider the size of our population......yeah something can always pop off.....heck was that way growing up in questionable areas. I still live in SoCal and now right downtown in Huntington Beach a 5 min walk to pier...the place where rally's normally start early and go late for any little media trend.... No Jihad rally here..... I tend to live in world outside, not the one the media feeds me.

Yeah…
I have never been on TicTok, IG, and I think I had to do twitter because of a team building thingy years ago.
Created Log In and have not been on it since.

Facebook- never used it for anything other than Marketplace, its the new Craigslist in my opinion.

So, I dont consider any of them a news source. But thats me.

I gave an example of a news source that I tend to lean towards… I am not saying I support everything Zeihan states, or that I watch everything he puts out… but thats the type of “news” I try to watch, and yes, I will have Fox News in the background while I am cooking dinner. But I am not truly watching it.

I will admit the short fucker in the late evening on Fox News, has some funny shit on occasion. But honestly, I really dont watch much TV at all anymore.

Gold Rush… yeah.. that I will DVR and binge watch on occasion..
Try to watch all the 49er games, Supercross, Motorcross… thats about it for me.

News rabbit holes:
Yahoo finance. I have my stocks watchlist, and the news section of Yahoo finance, has a list of all relevant financial news of the stocks you are watching. When you start clicking on those articles, and other articles, it can lead you down some very educational rabbit holes. Some of it is just plane stupidly obvious…

If you watching CAT - then their is all kinds of global politics that pops up in that feed, because it can impact that stock.

Love these threads.

So far, the only guy that might experience a Jihad is the guy on the Par 5. Seems everyone else is posting from the comfort of their living rooms. 🫶

Nice. Where were you terrorizing adult bevs @ the bar earlier?

Naw. Was working on my boat trailer most of the day today. New tires, new stop/tail lights, fixed the ground wire at the tongue...

Might get an early morning run in tomorrow before I head out.

And some new sandles at the store. Everything is 2 for 1 right now!

Well.. Unless something pops off in the next couple of hours this was wasted media hype.

I’m not doubting something is going to happen. The fact of the matter is something will happen and it will probably be pretty big when it does. 9/11 big, maybe worse. I think it’s more likely to be a dirty bomb in Vegas or Times Square than a bunch of small calculated attacks across every metro. I could totally be wrong but that’s my theory.

As for today. My kids went to school, I did business as usual and made my usual trips to the grocery store and etc. I’m an American and I refuse to subject myself to fear mongering. I would rather die a young man living my life free of fear and worries than living my life In fear and missing out on a normal life. I want the same for my kids, needless to say I didn’t tell them anything about what was going on. It was a normal day for us.

Not all that surprising considering the demographics around there especially if they pull in the blm crowd. It could get pretty roudy if peeps show up to protest their protest, ya know?

"Global day of what now?" asked native Texan Barry Windham as he wiped his freshly oiled AR-15 with a rag. "Not sure I'm familiar with that term."

. . .

"Oh, I think they know better than that," said Stan Hansen with a smile as he loaded his 12-gauge shotgun with buckshot shells. "There's a reason you see that type of thing happen in places where folks aren't allowed to own massive arsenals that take up several rooms of their homes. Those terrorists may want to die, but they apparently don't want to die badly enough to come to Texas. We'll make it happen for ‘em!"

My drive out was uneventful as well, seemed like less shitty truck drivers than a normal Friday night on the 10. Plenty of left lane bandits in cars though.

That’s my EDC as well. Ugly fucking gun but goes bang every time you need it to.
Idk. I like my glock. They are ugly out of the box. That is true. But they can be made into works of art.

Actually I'm on the toilet at the moment. Happy to report no jihad in this bathroom. Personally I don't think they would survive. What did I eat last night? Maybe it was the beers at the party we went to.

It appears that just a couple violent incidents happened yesterday and they stayed out of the US as I expected. I agree with @Boozer that it will be a larger scale deal here in the US when it happens.

I saw this contraption the other day and thought it looked OK.

Nice rig! My G19 is the MOS version and I still need to get a red dot. I like RMR except for having to remove it to replace the battery. The Leupold Delta Point has a top loading battery and auto on with movement. I still need to decide what one to go with.

Check out the SRO. I transitioned over from the RMR for the larger window and top loaded battery. Been real happy with them.

Speaking with the owner, he chose the RMR because it's US made and has had less "Issues" according to someone more knowledgeable than the owner of that scary black gun. 🤣
