That ankle monitor is generally a probation or parole thing and the local PD might not have immediate access to the data without reaching out. The county probation or parole in your area would probably be your best shot at ID'ing this guy. Or you could go old school, print photos of this clown and start visiting your local stores trying to ID him. An old guy with a gun and ankle monitor shouldn't be too hard to track down unless he was some crazy from out of town.
After making the rounds it’s in probations hands now.

Scary. I’d call 911 immediately next time.

How does this work from a legality standpoint? Can you come onto private property unwelcome and armed if there’s no fence/gate? I realize you can come knock on someone’s door, but does the gun change anything?

In CA you can walk through a front door if it's unlocked. Unless there is a no trespassing sign posted on the property somewhere. Happened to my next door neighbors. All on camera. The lady came out the bathroom and the guy was in the house. She yelled at him to leave and he did. Sheriff said no problem. If he refused to leave they would of arrested him.

I had problems years ago with a next door neighbor to a job site. They were jumping the fence and stealing my materials. LAPD would not do anything as I didn't have a no trespassing sign up. They said anyone can enter without it. And without a eye witness. It didn't matter that the missing materials were in there yard.

Post up a sign somewhere on your property it can be seen.

I'll say this...drive thru Norco and about 1/2 the houses fly American flags, and at least one Trump flag can be seen on every block. Not kidding or exaggerating.

Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. 🙂

Good luck with your sit Ace.

I think I would have been dialing 911 as soon as I saw him.

"911, What is your emergency?"

"There's a man that just fell over dead on my front porch. He has a big whole in his chest. ".

Fixed it for ya

Surfside, Sunset Beach, and some of HB are like this as well. Loved seeing that this past weekend

Ummmm... Without knowing all the circumstances I'm calling complete bullshit on the walking in with no repercussions. I don't care how fucked up Cali is, there are still laws in place to protect owners, and either you got some bad info, partial info, or that cop was one of the biggest lazy pieces of shit to wear a badge.

Home residential vs constructions sites are two different worlds.

Well shit. I guess I missed the original post on this. Would love to know the cliff notes.
Liberal was butt hurt about OP's American flag and Trump flags, came to the door bitching and complaining but didn't know OP was home and listening. When the turd left OP noticed he had a gun on his RT hip and an ankle bracelet.

What is the crime if you walk in a unlocked front door? They do not have a no trespassing sign posted.

I can have my next door neighbor file a complaint for them not doing there job.

At a minimum Trespass if we are talking about a residential. It can easily be a Burglary depending on what is discovered during the investigation.

I was gonna say the same thing. Any cop who told you that is super lazy.
602 PC covers all kinds of trespassing, especially walking into/forcing your way into a private home. No sign is needed.
Now, that being said, in California that person could easily be released or cited out almost immediately.

As we are actively in the process of buying a new primary residence around CC..it has also impacted our thought process, and we may very well to opt for a further drive to be away from suburbia.

I have a morning phone call scheduled about the situation.

I thought you lived in CC, different CC than what Im thinking? Life's good here, when we came home from the river house we always thought how much nicer the lifestyle is here.

I looked up the code. The Sheriff response was he left when you told him get out of my house. So maybe that's where he came up with asked to leave part. I have no trespassing signs and no solicitating signs at each property. But I still get people coming up to my front door regularly.

The front door was open not just unlocked per my neighbor.

We lived off the loop just south of spur cross rd. We moved out of that house at the end of may. Been working on buying something but its not been easy with inventory and price range with the interest rates what they are right now.

Sad you have to think about what repercussions might happen/what you could loose protecting your family in a situation like this? Not enough fear within the people that think they can act this rogue because of a simple flag or sticker

Well, hell, I guess I’m gonna have to start locking my doors. This used to be such a nice quaint little town. 😕

So the other morning I had to drop my Mom off for a 6am appointment. I pull up to my house at 615 and there is a guy on my porch. I pulled in quick on him and asked him what he is doing. Handing out business cards. So I told him to get the fuck off my property as my Dog was barking at him and I didn't want her to wake my neighbors. He ignored my no solicitor and trespassing signs. Then starts talking shit about he is allowed to do his job. Hands me the card and says call my boss. I replied get the fuck of my property or I will call the police. He pulls out his phone and calls 911. Sheriff shows up and I show them my signs. They agree he is breaking the law. Hie starts yelling at me to suck his dick in Spanish while grabbing it. I politely ask them to write him a ticket so he learns a lesson about trespassing. Nope we won't do that. We will tell him to leave. 3 doors over he is back on my customers porch that has a no soliciting sign up. They could care less.

I had another guy doing the same 3 months ago. My dog goes bat shit crazy at the front door at 330 am. I look on the camera and guy has his hand on my front door lever fidgeting with it. Turns out he is trying to get the business card and rubber band to hold it on my door lever. I called the company and they say he is just doing his job. A fence around the front is on the to do list.

Sure be a shame if the back door was open and your German Sheppard “did her job” lol. Unfortunately you’d probably end up in court.

Turn off your cameras, cap his ass, then make sure your plant gun is clean and has his prints on it…. along with the shells…

Oh did I type that out loud…..

LoL

All joking aside…

Who would hire that company dropping off business card at 3 am….

Bad enough the landscaping companies dropping baggies of rocks and a business card in it at the foot of the driveway…..
