Little Request from myself to whomever it is out there that may have "borrowed" some of the carpets and banners at LOTO. While I can appreciate your enthusiasm for the DCB Brand, and have no doubt that those carpets and banners will look absolutely fantastic in your garage. It would be greatly appreciated if they could be returned, or given back at Lake Cumberland because that event is right around the corner and they were planning on using them there as well. DCB would happily sell those same Carpets / Anti Fatigue mattes / Banners / Mesh Banners / Factory direct to anybody that wants them for their Man Caves.. Please call 619-442-0300 to purchase, or you can text me at 949-678-8369 if you'd like to return them confidentially with no questions asked.

Anyhow Back to our regularly scheduled programming. There's no question that DCB has an enormous presence at the Camden and at the Shoot Out itself. Honestly other than maybe OL, they probably had more support from the factory than anybody else I saw out there. Their dock setup was probably a little overkill for the event, but it definitely made a statement and no detail was overlooked. Right down to Mike (M41 Owner) having the fight streamed on the bow of his boat on the docks (awesome!). Here's their pics from the weekend!

These pictures speak volumes.

It seems like DCB really found a niche with their M31's and M35's. The boats are able to achieve elite levels of speed with factory power and are just the right size not to need a tilt trailer and all the hassle that comes with it.

Big Thank You from my family and me to DCB, Tony C. & Jeff J. They worked their tails off at Lotto, and their customer service was incredible. Those two gentlemen helped launch all the boats, get them slipped all weekend, covered all the DCB's at night, uncovered the boats in the morning, wiped all the boats down, helped dock at our boating destinations, gave us cool gifts, and genuinely showed their appreciation to all of us for towing our floats to Lotto. They helped us park the tow rigs, navigated getting all the hual rigs with trailers hooked back up, and boats loaded. These two work horses stayed at the boat ramp until all boats were trailered and cleaned. It was very impressive to say the least.
We are booked already for next year. Anybody interested in hauling out with me hit me up.. :)

The trip down to the shootout Saturday morning at 7:00am running 4 wide at a buck to buck20 was epic. Kid and wife met me by car at the shootout headquarters, CPT Rons. Green light to run hard...

Thank You to Spring Break Racing M41 for flying my wife and kiddo to Lotto on this sick Platus too!

Awesome boats , but only one for sale ?

Yes, like most high end boat manufacturers the boats are ordered, deposit made, then built! All of them are for sale tho, for the right price... lol.

That's awesome. I'm envious of that kind of brand loyalty and support!

These boats are really insanely awesome. They rip, completely stable and safe, and are a work of art. For the kind of performance boating I like to do they have been great. :thumbsup

If anyone out there is on the fence - they are worth it.

I know a new one is crazy expensive and price differs from order to order depending on equipment etc? What about a bit older ones? Around 30" twin engine.

I'm sure DCB has figured this out and it's probably a stupid question..... but let's say you hear a knock or noise coming from the motor compartment. How do you open the hatches while you're in the boat and look in there?:headscratch:

Well Grads you get your Ass up and go across the deck and open them. That said most all these things are running factory power and the guys aren't going to be spinning wrenches on the side of the lake to make them run.

Smart Craft would post up long before a noise hopefully. You would have that engine shutdown already. If need be you could be back there opening the hatch but if you feel the need to do so you are probably thoroughly f'd $$$ already lol. Honestly that is why I liked the clear hatches on my m31. Anything I needed to visually inspect (strainer, belts, make sure oil was not washing down bilge, etc) kind of piece of mind. :)

Wish this was the case for us... last poker run a guy came up and asked why we always have the hatch open every single stop lol Well, to check so stuff works properly, now it didnt that weekend but still.

I personally would prefer the hatches open the other direction but then you wouldn't look half as cool at the docks showing of your stock Mercury power.

EDIT: And then again it doesn't really matter what I think because unless I win the lottery or pick up 2 more wives I'll never have f-you DCB money.

Great looking boats!!!

Question- and maybe it has been discussed before..... but is it a DCB Thing to back into the dock and pop the hatches to show of your shit?? Looking through all of the LOTO pix in this thread and Daves it appears to be a DCB only thing?

I have a question that I have wondered for a while...

Who was the time or energy to organize their dock ropes in a fancy manner? I'm usually getting kids and family out of the boat and making my ropes neat is the last thing on my mind. Am I missing something?

Organization around the boat with ropes, carpetts etc raises the impression even more imo, if you go to a run or gathering its part of the fun with having a nice boat. Atleast thats how I look at it and how I would do it. If I had a nice boat that is...

I would not organize or coil my ropes, especially if my DCB RACING door mat was stolen, I mean misplaced

So you're saying if you want to listen or look at the engines while running and in gear you can only do it one motor at a time and you have to ride on the other hatch to do it. I always thought that was illegal. ;)

When I start my motors I walk over the engine hatch, stand on the center platform on my M31. I open both hatches and have my wife start each motor. If I'm alone, I open one side so I can see in & start that motor, then repeat for other side. If I want to check my motors in the middle of the lake I follow the same routine. It's very simple. Mine doesn't have the clear see through hatch. I prefer this due to my 5 year old, and guests who just don't get it. It's not good to walk on those see through areas. I don't want to police it every time we stop to jump in the lake, keeping people away from the cleaver props is hard enough. I personally love the design and the way they open, again my opinion only.

It is a pride of ownership thing for the owners & DCB at the big events. The open hatch thing is mostly done at the big events for sales purposes, plus the rigging in each one of theses boats is off the charts. When I'm boating with just my family in Phoenix, Lakepowell or Havasu I never back in and open the hatch, but I always attend to my dock lines. At Lotto Tony & Jeff opened all the hatches at each stop so people could admire the power & rigging. During Lotto the boats were in slips paid for by DCB for the dock party & racing slips at Captain Rons. Jeff & Tony were both with a group of 8 DCB hitting different stops on the lake and they used this as a time to show case their boats, smart. Hatches will be open on the docks at all major events. All the other manufacturers had their hatches open just like DCB during Lotto. It's sales at the end of the day for all the manufacturers during theses big events, so it's not just a DCB thing.

I have a 5 year old and I am always chasing him down as soon as we dock. I always help my family & guests out of the boat plus all the gear and shit people bring. After that shit storm is over, if my wife hasn't already done it, I make my dock lines look as nice as possible, then I wipe my boat down. Pride of ownership thing for me. To each his own, it's your boat and your dock lines. So to answer your question, I don't think your missing anything, it's just personal preference.

No exaggeration on pride of ownership. We were parked next to your last boat at nautical for a weekend. You sir, are a machine. Cleaning early, late and often. It almost made it tough to sit and drink a beer.. almost.

When you are running 150+ you want the hatches opening this way.. if you have a latch failure or ?? Facing the other way and that thing came open at speed... well you wouldn't have a hatch anymore. I have seen typical opening hatches on a fast boat but they are pretty rare.

Great looking boats!!!

Everybody at LOTO had their hatches open damn near everywhere we went.

I'd just to them one at a time, Or if I wanted to see both there is enough room to get between the engines under that brace.

Where is a pic of there newest member-Jeff Murray?

I know he towed the big one back.. did he buy one?

You haven't been to loto. All the waterside places have dock girls that help you get into and out of a slip. They know how to tie up a boat and make the lines pretty.

Exactly... here that would be concidered humiliating and a vaiolation of her integrity! No matter if she makes $100/h and love her job, someone else will decide that for her!
