I'm all for the funny jokes about the hot teacher, but this woman is not hot and she's old. Maybe if she was 26 and smoking I would make the comment about this not happening to us, but 44....kinda gross!
Im with ya. Middle aged Moms aint in my wheelhouse either. Even though im old and fat. 😂

Why didn’t I have these kind of teachers when I was growing up… fml
I had a buddy in high school, he was fucking our hot high school English teacher from our junior year until after graduation. Nobody told anyone, only a few of us knew, and we partied with her for several years after high school. Nobody was damaged. He ended up marrying a high school principal and lived happily ever after.

Well your theory about the ring may be why she is getting such a light slap on the wrist if she is ratting out the others in the ring.

BTW, wasn't it @Amy@Team RDP whose kids go to that school that she made the thread about the other day? Hope none of this affects her kids schooling.
Yes, this is the school my children just started attending this year so while we are affected in the blowback, we were not attending at the time this teacher was there. I am hoping since they just had a major situation that everyone will be extra vigilant and outspoken if there are any other snakes in the grass. We have had no issues with any of the staff there.

That was still a few to many in my opinion. First rule of fight club is nobody talks about fight club.

‘That was a long time ago. Maybe 30 or 40 years ago. He wasn’t ”damaged“. He was “educated“. He got excellent answers on all his English tests.

I know it is, my salary is as well
All state employees are from what I remember right?

I liked giving my older sister (college professor and now state senate employee) a hard time for yrs because I made way more than her 🤣. She is extremely smart, valedictorian of her class etc and I was just the average Joe with a B average all through high school/college. Although she’ll be the one laughing all the way to the bank once her state pension kicks in and whoops ass on my private sector pension.

Those salaries seem pretty low. Is that current? Didn’t spend a lot of time looking….
Teacher salaries are based on two years of probationary classroom time (called P1 and P2) that they have to get through before they get tenure at which point they are mostly permanent and their salary goes up yearly after the get through the probation years, up to whatever cap the district and union agree on for tenured teachers.

And yes being a teacher is a shit job with shit pay. Your district doesn’t like you, your school won’t stand behind you and the kids hate you and the parents are out to scapegoat you for their failure to parent. It’s a miracle we still have teachers and if you wonder why education (at least public) is so bad it’s because teachers are on their own with little to no backing, no control and no authority. It’s not them (mostly) it’s the system that drives this race to the bottom. They’re just along for the ride.

I totally agree and wonder how teachers can do it. My wife is a teacher but for younger kids…no way she could put up with middle school/high school kids. Just the parents are hard enough for her some years!
