Corey Miller did the original dragon 26 years ago. I added the tribal shit later and have regretted it for years. He accepted the challenge of a cover up. First session done, 3.5 hours. All freehand. I go back on 01/04 for color and accents to hide the parts that stick out. He’s probably going to add an arm with talons too. Whatcha all think?

Nice to see that you are able to make a change to something that you don’t care for any longer. Impressive work for sure. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Looks nice. Very hard to do cover up. Have 1 myself thanks to being a idiot at 18 and getting a ex name as part of my sleeve. Sped up the breakup so that was a plus🤣🤣

Never understood tattoos.

I not only don't understand them, on woman, no matter how beautiful their natural beauty is, if I spot a tattoo, I'm repulsed.
My own daughter has two of the most ridiculous ink stains, that mar her otherwise perfect skin -- 🤮

Even on men, I find them repulsive, and used to consider it a character flaw and judged them by it, even refusing to hire them.

Then my son started getting them, that hurt me deeply, had his DNA checked as he couldn't possibly be from my seed, but alas, like my daughter, he's mine and yet he's f*cking inked. 😪

I suppose if I'm forced to admit it, admit that despite my own two children being both mentally and now physically flawed, they're not bad people and I do kinda trust them.

Maybe I shouldn't judge all inked books by their repulsive covers, maybe below those ugly stains, they're just people.
Not like ME people, but like some of you people. 🥴

Looks good. I've got 2 tats. Both are coverups I had done 27 years ago..
Had big ink plans at one time.. realized I couldn't afford what I wanted. Then, when I could afford it I was over it.

Looks good, . . . be cool see after it's filled.

I've always dug them, just never pulled the trigger . . . no judgement from this kid.
I have 2 friends who are tattoo artists. Very interesting skill considering different skin types, colors, and how various parts of the body are better / worse at accepting ink.

My only 'story' was paddling out for an evening surf session the last day of my high school year in 1988. Perfect sunset, warm water, and perfect chest-high peeling waves. An older dude paddles out and sets up right next to me . . . gnarly-guy, fully ripped, not an ounce of fat . . . built like a shredded prison convict. I look over at his shoulder and it looked like he'd just been shot in the arm with a shotgun . . . puss, little chunks of white meat hanging, and it looked like he'd applied vaseline or some type of ointment to the wound which was easily 4 inches across, and from his shoulder to elbow.
I said, "What the hell happened to your arm"??? . . . He replied, "I made some poor decisions when I was your age, . . . just had some tattoos removed" . . . Woh . . . he continued, "Just remember, it hurts a hell of a lot more having them removed". I guess the guy had them 'sanded' off !😫 . . . The image of his arm is still vivid in my mind to this day. (this was long before laser tattoo removal)

I don't judge anyone for ink . . . I think it's cool, I just got spooked-out by the gnarly-guy surfing !!!

For some reason a chick with a sleeved arm is super hot to me. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have one tattoo that I got when I got out of the Army 30 years ago that I absolutely hate and regret. I’ve never been able to decide on another one. My oldest two kids have tattoos. I think it’s just their generation. I wish they didn’t get them, I feel like they will regret it later. They are adults though, and I love them either way.

Quit being a weenie and get that underarm done! It tickles...trust me

LOL my other arm has that all done. Ya it sucks. My tricep somehow irritated a nerve under my knee cap and about once every hour for 2 days that thing would fire off and I would jump and reach everytime

HAHA...weird how everything connects in our bodies. I'm pretty much tattooed from my head to ankles. I look back on it sometimes and wonder how and why I put up with so much pain.

Hahahaha solid question. I like the guy that says they don't hurt. I'm meeting my guy in April and I'm sitting until both arms are fully done. I start to think fuck this at about 6 hours.

Loving this thread fellas.... looks like we're all interjecting here so.... I like my women tatted cause I dig damaged goods, lol.... just always have... I'm a known fixer. I have been seated in two tatt chairs as one of my gals gets touched up, thinking about getting one but for some reason my dear mother pops up on my shoulder and gives me that look and I never get it done. Maybe some of you know the look I'm talking bout.

My mom is old school Italian, 81 and still gives me the look. Still think nothing of slapping you upside the head. :p She wasn’t happy too much when my sister got a couple of tats either. None for me though. Just not my thing.

For the naysayers, when I got my first one, only convicts, bikers and punk rockers got them. I was the latter. Got a scull with clown make up. Thought is was cool as hell so I got another. Soon realized one was smiling, one was frowning and I had the ole “smile now, cry layer” gang shit going on. Problem solved… get a 3rd. That leads to empty weird looking spots so you carry on and fill them in. Fast forward 20+ years and you realize they are poor quality so you go back, get them touched up and recolored. This is my right arm. Now it’s the left arm’s turn. Might as well have them look good, they aren’t going away.

Cute blonde with full sleeve tattoo riding a beach cruiser. My cryptonite. Only for a good time, not marriage.

Old stereotypes die hard.
I suppose I'll never understand the desire to pay Picasso to scribble on God's Rembrandt and call it art. 😵‍💫
If you like it, then sit back and enjoy, but after seeing a few old saggy skinned biker chicks, tattoos don't age well. 🤢

Hence the cover ups and redos. Like a boat, you are married to it and it’s gonna cost you money at some point. I’d rather have sharp new ones than faded old stuff.

Good luck bud! When I started my back piece I sat through 8 hours of line work then rode my Harley home. Thought I was gonna pass out!

If you have Instagram. Look up Black Alien Project. This guy is the most extreme I have ever seen. Not sure his final endgame but you will be in a total "what the fuck did I just see" moment.

I don't have any tattoos but that is friggen cool! I never got one cause I am fickle and would likely have work done that I would want to change.....seeing that artists can change things and make it look natural...is pretty sick!

Once in my entire life I was tempted. Close to 30 years ago in Tahiti. The male Tahitian warrior performers with their real-thing tribals did look pretty awesome.
Then I checked in the mirror and had to admit, the tribals were not going to make this pasty skinned white boy a Tahitian Warrior God 🤣

Saw this the other day on a waitress in a family friendly brewery pizza joint. Lots of kids sports teams go there so parents can have a legit beer and kids can eat. Zoom in at your own risk! Cover up needed?

So, if a tattoo artist can apply ink and colors to make something, why can’t they come up with a skin color ink and just go over the tattoo to cover it up? Kinda like white out on a piece of paper?

I know they have laser treatments to remove tattoos but seems to me just doing it with skin tone color over top would be easier.

Interesting concept, looks like a saloon whore playing hop-on-pop with a knight?

I'm no prude, but unless you are at home or an appropriate setting, nude tat's should not be displayed IMO.

Especially these days where it's so life-like as to be a picture.
