Spanaway, Black Lake, Lawrence in Yelm, American Lake allowed testing during the week, probably forgetting some.Where did you guys race up there? Spanaway Lake? American Lake? We didn;t go to many lakes, unless there was a waterski course on it.
Captain I'm fishing with right now is a Montana transplant to Yuma, him and his Wife say they wouldn't live anywhere else.Don’t forget Yuma.

Boulder City still has the small town feel and is mostly red fyi. If I was smart I would've moved there back in 98 when I moved to Vegas. Now looking into Boulder City NV, and liking what I see. Housing is a little more $$, but climate would seem a little more balanced and basic livability looks good. minutes from mead, a short drive from Las Vegas, the (drag) strip, and all the amenities of Vegas. And still only a couple hours from Havasu & Parker.
we have a meeting with our financial advisor set up in a couple of weeks. Hopefully this change of scenery is as attainable as it would appear to my simple brain.
The redder the better for us…..Boulder City still has the small town feel and is mostly red fyi. If I was smart I would've moved there back in 98 when I moved to Vegas.

Tons of offroading!!!
Trade in drag racing? As bp said you might trade in drag racing for off-roading.. once you do that you have 12 months of fun. Boating during the summer / Offroad in the winter.
As for places on the river there are definitely different vibes in different spots.. up river by Laughlin is straight chaos.. between havasu and Laughlin is quiet and peaceful.. havasu is both depending on the weekends. Parker is wild on the weekends and quiet during the week.. lower river is what the river was 30 years ago with great people but desolate like upriver.
If ya have a kind of budget in mind and what type
Of lifestyle your looking for I can have Stacy send you some places.
If you want to take a week or two and stay out here we have a really nice studio you can use while you’re checking things out.

I read it three times to make sure I was seeing it correctly…. Then out of respect for the proprietor of the lounge, I decided to regard it as a simple mistake and blow past it. We WON’T be trading drag racing for a ride in a dune buggy.Trade in drag racing?
Mr. River Dave……you don’t just “trade in” drag racing!! It’s a way of life and is held very sacred. Hell…. Might as well tell him to trade in sex!!!
I used to live on American Lake. When I first moved there, we would frequently see boats informally racing, which was a blast to watch. Eventually they only allowed testing, and only in a very specific lane down the center of the northern part of the lake (basically from the island to the country club), and if I recall correctly it became only one day per week. Then a guy flipped and was killed, so they shut it down permanently and set speed limits of 45 on weekends, 60 on weekdays.Spanaway, Black Lake, Lawrence in Yelm, American Lake allowed testing during the week, probably forgetting some.

With that clear, I do appreciate the helpful offer, Dave. The wife and I have 2 weeks planned in Havasu in June. We plan on doing a lot of looking around the area while we’re there. Perhaps I can plan to take advantage of the offer as that time approaches.
Bracket / Index racer….Texas seems like your spot. Lots of drag racing.
What car do you have? Small tire no prep car?
We had a week or so of cold (I happened to be in Colorado snowmobiling when it came thru ). There were several 75+ days in Feb. and boats ran all winter. Brutal is Northern Michigan where the lake goes to ice in early November and doesn't go soft until mid April. We drove from the lake to Florida last week to run around bikeweek and temps were the same in both places 76I live in SoCal...
Anything below 60 is brutal to me!
But 11 degrees? As Rainman would say...
Definitely, definitely not, definitely not..

So just a summer pad in LOTO? The winter there is BRUTAL!
