This 1967 is the last 427 Cobra produced by AC Cars...with 270 original miles on it.

Hard to tell if it's the real deal.. A friend of mine has a replica that is pretty convincing looking.

A friend of mine (Ted Sutton) built the first 427 while working at Shelby. Ted now lives in Parker.

CSX 2473 is the car I posted... This Cobra is still actively raced and is the Winninest Cobra ever. If anyone here follows Vintage racing we crashed this thing back in 2009.

I sure wish they would make their sign more accurate. AC didn't build the Cobra... Carrol Shelby did. He took the roadster (already in production), and did what he does.... modified it.
On a side note.... if you get a chance to check the frame "tubes" on an original, it's quite the definition of overkill. I worked on one years ago for a customer, and had plenty of time to marvel at the engineering (if you could call it that). As I remember, the frame was built in Scotland(?), and must have been built by plumbers. Rigid as hell, but just as crude.

Bryan owned a Jeep 1st, played a bad round of golf, sunk the Jeep at the lake, took the insurance money and bought a Cobra, bought some Lawn Paint, flowered mailboxes, and a flock of Bobo's.

I disrespected the Cobra Watch. Apparently Bobo has a thing for watches.

My dad has a H/M 427 in his Hallett that would look great under a Cobra hood. Would love to have one.

Is that how it sits right now? I know you were testing a lot of colors.

It's obviously shiny but it doesn't appear have the wet look of a base/clear process. Did you use one step polyurethane? Maybe it's just the light conditions when you shot that picture.

I like that color. It's got a hard core look.
