Pics of 'Breakin Loose' at Puddingstone, about 1981. Things got pretty exciting on the beach for a moment.

Jesus i wondered if anybody got that. Missed me and my girlfriend by the skin on my balls. I remember the chaos spilled my beer, very lucky day. I believe the boat and motor were stolen that evening from a motel ,could be wrong.

i AM TRYING TO REMEMBER THE YEAR BY WHICH GIRLFRIEND I HAD LOL. i WANT TO SAY 1981. THAT SHOT EVEN MADE THE NATIONAL ENQUIRE. I PERSONALLY AM NOT IN THE SHOT I WAS A LITTLE TO THE RIGHT.WHENI SAW THE PICS I REMEMBERED IT AS IT WAS YESTERDAY. I REMEMBER THE ANNOUNCER CALLING THE BOAT OUT AND HE LOST IT FAST.

Thanks, a buddy of mine had a new 35mm camera with a motor drive and he really stood his ground taking those shots. I was yelling at him to git outta there but he stayed on it.:thumbsup

It's been a long time, but I believe the driver was Randy Au -- it was a nasty crash -- the boat skipped like a rock and went over the heads of the first couple of rows of spectators on the bank and landed on a dirt access road behind them. The boat hit so hard that the hull wound up in one place and the engine in another. Can't believe no spectators were seriously injured.
