Starting the day going with my buddy’s dads group. Supposed to start at Lazy G Ranch go through Big Bear to my understanding and end up in Pioneer town. Stay Tuned.

Do you have a map of this ride? This is definitely a ride I would like to do.
I don’t know a way to get down into pioneer town legally offroad from the high ground side. 100% doable from landers side right into back door of pappy and Harriet’s. Pretty sure you can’t run the SXS up to Baldwin lake on the trail legally anymore as well. Plated vehicles are needed to fill in the gaps and stay within the law. There has been increased LEO presence out there as well, both on highway and off.

We have heard rumors that Pioneer town is not really a great off-road destination anymore, and that locals or hipsters are calling police if off-roaders show up. The last couple times we've been there, we have definitely been odd man out in the Side by sides. No trouble yet, but I could see it happening.

Running in from high ground side (photo #1) in your post without plates is riding dirty for sure. The second photo you posted is all legal trails of you thread the needle correctly, that being said there is multiple ways to not be in the right places on that route as well if you don’t know it exactly.

That’s the route pictured above (first photo) you will be riding dirty on paved roads for a few miles as you head down into pappys and Harriet’s. Best of luck, I’d go easy on the road cokes on the way in just in case😉
