Enjoy…
When I lived in SoCal, when to many of them..

This season, started out with a few surprises. Very curious to see what happens in SD…
Tomac? J Lawence? Plessy? M Stewart? In the 450s…

Hope that Deegan keeps getting challenging starts… LOL
That was funny to me… referring to A1.

The wife and I take the train down for the race weekend every year, except this one. First time in years we haven't attended. It just got to be to expensive and the homeless seem to be taking downtown back. And the move from Petco was dumb!

I was thinking about taking my son who rides motocross, but he said the track layout sucks and he wanted to wait for Anaheim 2. I did check the track layout and it seemed pretty small and not too well thought out. Pretty simplistic.

Bring it back to Petco and I will return too.
love going petco but didn’t enjoy Supercross when they had it there. I’ve been to concerts baseball and did the golf thing there and loved all those events. I guess it’s because of all the years we went to A1 and Jack Murphy stadium that spoiled us. It’s kinda like watching motocross at glen Helen vs Fox raceway. Love it at glen Helen hated it at Fox.

Good points... I guess the biggest thing we miss at Petco is being next door at the Omni or the Hard Rock (we would make it a fun weekend trip).

I disagree. I think last week was WAY too complicated. Made it a bit hard to follow and know where they were at on the track. The big triple at the one end should be pretty cool too. Come to think about it, looks like the rhythm section opposite the finish jump should be good also. Should make it pretty enjoyable to watch from all 4 sides.

I didn’t watch the tv broadcast yet but I attended A1 last week and it was super easy to follow. I thought this years A1 track was pretty good.

I dont want to speak to soon, but I feel like the coverage on Peacock may have gotten better- atleast it was better for A1. There was some commercials that filled in the gaps in between races that they didnt have before.

I heard they moved it from Petco park because of the noise. Not sure if this is true or not.
Petco was always a temporary home (just like the Holiday Bowl) for Supercross while Snapdragon was being built. I doubt noise was an issue since they have concerts at Petco all the time.

Not sure, but lots of construction and development could have been a factor. Fan Fest and the pits were separated a block apart from each other (kinda a pain in ass I bet).

I have not been to Snapdragon but there isn't anyplace nearby to stay that I wanna walk back to after (that I know about, anyway). Petco definitely has the vibe that I liked.

Petco's location can't be beat. You can take the trolly to Snapdragon though and still stay downtown.

Plus not sure what happened but the closed Basic pizza! Was the best pizza place to take the family or customers to before the padre games! Just found that out this week.

Some friends went to A1. Fifty dollars to park. One hundred and seventy dollars a seat and fifteen dollar beers! No cash except ed.
Yeah, it has gotten really expensive.
$300 to bring the RV in 😱
$15 dollar beer would be cheap. I was paying 21
$30 for nachos
$40 for a souvenir soda cup😱
I dont know if that is all the stadiums but man Anaheim is costly. We go early, cook and get lit in the parking lot so not to spend to much inside 😆😆

It was probably much easier in person. On TV with the cutting between riders and how many turns there were, it was hard at times. I like knowing what obstacle is coming up next. Just makes the racing and line selection make more sense to me.

Yeah I could understand that. I’ll watch the A1 tv broadcast this weekend and check it out. Makes sense what you’re saying though.

San Diego Marriott Mission Valley is a 1.3 mile walk. Doable, not ideal, but it was a nice hotel with good vibe years ago.

The are moving Basic Pizza closer to Petco Park. Not sure if it will have the same vibe as when it was in the warehouse, but at least they aren't closing for good.

I'm still hung over from that place.
It was 6 years ago for opening day 😁

Sign on the door only said it was permanently closed didn’t say anything about new location. I hope you’re right!

We went last weekend. Free tix and parking. It was fun, early start was good for being cold and drive home.
Spent most the night in brewery X bar.

Had we paid everything I'd be 500 into it

Great race, did you see how gassed Tomac was after the race. He used all he had to keep Jett at bay.

Tomac is over ten years older than Jett! Just shows what great shape he is in! MX is definitely a young man’s sport but Tomac is proving he is up to the task! I personally thought Tomac was done after his Achilles tendon injury but he has proven me wrong. I truly hope all the top riders stay healthy. Last nights race was epic!
