How many miles from Parker damn to havasu springs? And the break downs, springs to channel, channel to pirates, pirates to needles and needles to Parker.
I think you mean Davis Dam to Parker Dam/the springs. About 75 miles one way.

And then a few friends from Florida wanted to go to Hoover dam so we made that run as well

Yeah. I meant Laughlin.

Little under 20 miles each leg then I’d guess from running it? They all seems about equal.

Pirates to Havasu Springs is the E ticket run in my book. Gotta be 40 miles or more. Almost all of it (with two no wake area exceptions?) pretty much the haul ass route in the lake’s entirety unless you’re in a sallow draft boat from Laughlin.

Btw Tank, hopefully we get a chance to do a run or two together at SCFW in April. Looking forward to stretching the legs of our Fountain subsequent the current rebuild.

Yeah it’s a great run. I actually like going up to the needles bridge and floating a bit. Won’t go under the needles bridge with the cigarette though.

I always like to
Mention to people that view havasu as super small, that it’s a good 60 miles from
Needles bridge to havasu springs. You don’t run any further on loto than that.

And yeah man! Would be great to hook
Up. I’d like to see your fountain in person. Gorgeous in pics.

Our trailer is getting fully redone by adrenaline so looking forward to participating in the street party this year as well. 👍

Tear down, sand blast, repaint red again. Storage box on frame rail at bow, moving EOH control unit into the box to hide it and make it all clean. New receiver portion (they're cutting the old one off, adding 12" and putting new one on). Replacing all current lights with LEDs , there were only rear lights and two side marker lights at the fenders before, drove me nuts towing at night and I couldn't see the trailer that well. Adding LED running lights along frame rails and adding white under boat lights to light up the boat. and the cherry on top - new bow ladder. They did the bunks already last summer and brakes were converted to disc and new hubs were done before I brought it out from LOTO last year. So, all new. Wayne from Adrenaline text it was coming out of sandblast end of last week. Should be done end of this week. Looking forward to seeing it all done, even though I wont see it for a while.

My plan is to mimic last year for two reasons :
1. I think it went pretty well
2. I'm a little behind this year to make major changes.

That said I have meetings on Monday and we maybe taking this thing to another level on vendors & Offroad. :D:D

I believe Pirates was on Saturday? I'll look it all up and get it posted in the next day or two.

Let’s go. We’re in no matter what.

Trailer is being rebuilt by adrenaline. Be at the street party View attachment 1474368
That red pops. Tank after spending all the money on the trailer are you nervous dunking it in salt? Or does adrenaline have it down to a science with some sort of extra protection now?

We run in the salt a few times a year. It is what it is. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ll just keep
Up with it as best possible.

Would love to hear your clean up process at some point Tank. I too am looking to run salt occasionally but am running a bit concerned.

The guy that owned my boat before me (for about 12 months) ran salt and did not clean it up appropriately. Left the props on which corroded the #6 shafts (on the port side it was within an 1/2 inch of the seal) and I didn’t catch it. As a result, they are being replaced (in conjunction with the rebuilds currently underway) and they are not cheap.

Yeah. Same thing happened with our last top gun. It had SSM3A’s on it. Older guy owned it from new and it sat on a lift in lauderdale. He never took the props off so it ate the shit out of the shafts.

You don’t have to tell me about the cost either! I had Vern go through our 6’s when we got the boat just to be sure. Ended up replacing upper gears and both prop shafts….15k! 🤢🤢🤢

For ocean I use and swear by salt away. Stuff works great. We have used all our boats mostly in ocean. When we launch I spray trailer off with salt away, then when we pull it out I spray whole boat down with salt away and flush the motors with it. Stuff works good. I got 6 years out of my last steal trailer before I had it blasted and painted but it was also stored outside near the beach so that didn’t help keep it nice. I’m hoping to get 8-10 years out of this trailer refurb. It’s out in havasu most of the time and stored indoors so hoping it lasts a bit longer. I don’t think I’m going to bring it back to cal this summer either like I usually do. I have to keep it outside and frankly, it’s too fuckin nice to be sitting outside even under a full cover. Might drag it back a few times for a couple weeks at a time but not storing it in ca anymore.

Yep, unfortunately, along with the shafts, it’s the lower gear sets (on both drives) in my case. The bill continues to grow..

I’ll be buying a case of salt away. Sounds like a plan just spraying absolutely everything down with it, run it though the mechanicals and remove the props each and every time after a salt run. Thanks.

Haven’t seen anything on this summer’s Catalina fun run however, if it’s on, we’re likely going to do it.

Yep I spray everything down with it including flushing the engine compartment down. And I shut the motors off while it’s still soapy to let it sit in the motors. Soak the shut out of the trailer and spray whole boat down. It’s good stuff.

With my 3a’s I just said fuck it. The teeth were nearly gone on the prop shaft and they leaked a little. Always had to replace seals and they would use silicone 😂 I decided I’d just run it til it spun a prop and then replace it. Never did. Dude that bought it from me ran it for another 4 years and the dude that bought it from him finally rebuilt them a couple years after that! 😂 with the new boat I just decided I wanted it all new right from the get go. Limit surprises.

They kinda keep the Catalina run low profile. I’m sure it’ll still happen in Sept. the last one looks good. I’d like to
Do it but that time of year is difficult with work and kids school. We’ll
See.
