Last I heard, RD & CO hadn't finalized a date. I just realized we're almost into Oct and we usually figure out our spring boating around now.

@RiverDave .....Dates?

Last years was one of the best events we've ever been to. Just perfect. Looking forward to next years.

I hope to be able to check out your boat on the docks this year if the kids can keep their eyes open that long 😂😂.

Hey Tank, you think this event is better than the shoot out? I'm thinking the weather is probably nicer? Cooler and less humid? Or maybe we should just do both events!

I was giving out shirts to the kids (and some adults) last year. That was kind'a fun. Hope to be there again this year. That's the plan at least. I'll have to get new shirts made.

LOTO shootout or Havasu shootout? I think it's way better than DS/shootout. To me, the DS shootout is just one big cluster fuck. I'm kind've over it. Not poo pooing it, I know people love the crowds and excitement, I just find the older I get the less I want to deal with the chaos of an event like DS. I like the more laid back vibe SCFW was putting out. Way more chill. Centrally located, everything right there. Good event schedule that was open to interpretation instead of super strict, great scenery (kind'a cool watching the hot laps right out front of the marina). Just more intimate feel. For us, it was just a much better event for the style of weekend / boating we like - relaxed, fun.

We have begun working on the details. We will begin to announce things very soon. We also have a list of donations going out so stay tuned for that as well!

I feel the same about DS/Havasu. I was talking about LOTO. Would Super Cat be better to go to or the LOTO shoot out? Really looking forward to going back out and was wondering which one you liked better.

actually, I've never been to the LOTO shootout. I prefer to go when there's a little more boating and running around the lake. I mean, sure you can do that during the shootout but the event itself is centrally located and that weekend is stupid busy. So, we skip it. I plan on sending the bout out there for a whole summer at some point and we'll do it then but for us, I think an event like SCFW is more our style.

Scott and I rolled in a few days early as you know, so we got to do a little more boating before the no wake zone took effect but didn't get to go farther west like I wanted (dang belt / impeller issue!). Maybe next year we'll go even earlier or stay later.

I wouldn't mind going on a non-event week as well to see what it is like. I'd like to spend some time driving around the roads there as well. Maybe if I get another bigger boat I'll make a solo trip out.

I think like you said. Head out and do 10 days with the shootout in the middle would be perfect. Chill before and cruise around and then chill and cruise around after as well.

What happened to the RDP regatta. That was our favorite boating event of the year.

Honestly supercat just killed us this year.. as we get it more dialed in and it (hopefully) gets easier to do I’d like to bring back the rdp regattas..

Would you believe that I was doing stuff for this past supercat even today? And we are already working on the next one? People have no idea how much work it is to put one of these together with minimal To no staff.. it’s a year round production

How true....if you're not working on it year-round you're falling behind. I'd like to tell you that it gets easier the more you do it, but it doesn't. There's no substitute for good help you can count on -- and those people are really hard to find.
