Launched at the new Riviera launch ramp. It was nice to Jist do something different than we have forever. 40.00 to launch was kinda pricey.. we had a second truck with us, it was another 40.00. 😳.

Obviously the facility is nice and new. Golf carts to bring you back to the docks etc..

I didn’t get a lot of pics driving the truck and boat. I can tell ya coming back at night.. thank god we had a gps and I could zoom in to see where the entrance was.. good lord it’s dark down there.

We ended up running to Topock for the day. Kids loved the pool. Food was as good as your going to get on the water. One thing that really surprised me was how fast it came out! Everytime we ordered something it was out in less than five minutes.

Those sixteen ounce beers they have up there are death.. 😳. Had a couple of those and figured Jake’s gonna drive.. lol.

In the meantime a DCB pulled up with this giant dog.. this guy loves his dog a lot. He carried it all the way across the docks. This cole jetboat with the shotgun exhaust was ROWDY..

Jake @Jefftowz son did a great job driving the toon on the way home.

The storm came up behind us so we ran from it for a boat then slowed down. We got some wind but that’s about it, we missed the brunt of it.

After that it got dark and we went back to the riviera and home..

How was everyone else’s weekend? Had several friends get caught up in the storm.. Billy and Lisa Blake ended up rescuing people out of the water from a pretty mangled pontoon boat.

Looks like a nice day. I like the new riviera it’s very convenient for us since our boat is stored and the new riviera view storage.

Looked like a great day! Only 49 reasons no holidays for me anymore. According to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, they issued 49 citations and made 24 arrests for incidents regarding the reckless operation of a watercraft over the holiday weekend. Mohave County also assisted in four non-injury boat crashes and two injury boat crashes.

Was in the channel when the storm hit. I was tied to the wall close to the LBR docks. The amount of people that were getting on plane in the channel as the storm hit was ridiculous. People literally hauling ass to head out to the lake only for it to be worse lol.

There was a guy walking his ice chest towards LBR and I heard the tree crack. I looked up and a massive branch came down. Guy looked up as well and just watch it fall down and Crush him. He was trapped under there for a minute and then made his way out. He was pretty pissed his ice chest was damaged. He said he was ok and left before the cops and medical got there.

That's crazy.. Glad he was ok, surprised he was concerned about an ice chest. LOL

It is interesting to watch people when they go into "panic" mode.. Why get on plane to head out to open water?

Would be much smarter to wait it out. Think of the amount of boats heading to the marina or Windsor. I would think it would be much more of a cluster fuck over there then waiting it out 😂

Work in progress... I'm still glad I bought a pass there vs renewing at Windsor...not having to deal with the damn rental pontoons is worth it to me...I'm not a late night boater anyway 😅

Best Park Ranger ever was Tom at Cattail Cove. I knew him for many years prior to him being a Park Ranger. I hope he and his wonderful wife, Cindy, are doing well. Just Good People to the Max.

Funny the last two times we have launched the damn pontoon rental guys are just butt holes. They just zip into a lane without people being on the boat and they file out like a clown car at the circus Clueless ad can be. Then you have the ones coming back that just cut you off of your line to get around you….

I'm still tripping on 80.00 to launch!!!

Does everywhere at Havasu charge to launch??

😱

I stayed home and cooked a bunch of good meals. You couldn't pay me to be at the river, on a holiday weekend, during monsoon season.

Is it October yet? 😎

Site 6 is free. The few RV parks are free if your staying there. The Marina and Windsor is cheaper then the $40 to launch at Riviera.

I guess now that Parker is closed, prices had to go up.

Makes sense. 👍🏼😁

He could have exchanged those fees out on a pass...you have 3 days to do so. I tried it before I bought my pass. They refunded my original CC charge. Yea its more than Windsor (double I think)...but. you also don't have some of the bullshit that congregates there, and you don't have to deal with every damn rental boat in the city trying to dock/trailer...especially on a windy day. Hopefully the price does some crowd control.... The other plus is the staff is super nice, friendly etc....not like the "ranger" referenced by @Shlbyntro

Truthfully its my eyes. I have astigmatism and at night I can normally see really well once adjusted when its actually dark(camping, hunting etc), however the LED lights on newer boats blind the shit out of me when its dark and my eyes can't adjust fast enough for me to feel safe doing it.

So basically it's a "cover charge". 😁

Great photo's! Just amazing on how many nice boats you see on the river. I boat on Torch, clam, and bellaire lakes in norther lower Michigan and we have pontoons, center consoles, and wake boats. Our area is not even close to being as crowded and our water is clear. On Torch you can see the bottom in 20 ft of water.
It is on my bucket list to visit and rent a boat to check out the area.

If you make it down this way let me know. I will take you out so ya don’t have to rent a pile for a mortgage..
