I also spend pretty much all my time on the lake in a long sleeve SPF shirt. Whenever I get warm I just jump in and the evaporation lasts for a while. I did see one when we were on a boat in Puerto Rico a few weeks back that had a hood as well. Have noticed that I need to be careful with trucker style hats, get burns on the back of my head. Does anyone have one of these hooded long sleeves?
I do I don’t use the hoodie part tho

^ This right here. Amazon, no name shirts that do the same thing. I think I paid 10 bucks per shirt. Saves all of my tattoos.

I wear a cotton tee shirt and a long sleeve shirt every single day of my life even in 100 temperatures with high humidity.

When I go to the water I wear te same thing and remove my outer shirt when I swim.

My wife bought me several different “swimming shirts” and I hated them all.

I do not like the sun on my skin.

Skin cancer? No thanks….
Same. Majority of every shirt I own is long sleeve. I wear them swimming as well.

Lots of stuff cut off me over the years.

Great thread, thanks for some additional ideas. As some have said, these types of shirts fit weird. I have a dozen of them. Some of them the neck seems to get easily stretched by hanging my cheaters on it. Some fit really tight, others loose like a drape.

I've found myself most days wearing a long sleeve button down collared shirt in two variations. I stole the look from the fly fishing guides up here in the rocky mountain region. Columbia makes one with a weird fabric that provides sun protection, I think they call it HiShade. I don't like the feel of the fabric, but it does handle water very well and stays surprisingly cool. Simms, makes some nice ones. Pretty much the standard issue for river guides.

My more popular choice I stole from the Mexican Laborers in Southern California and the Cowboys across the western states and tweaked it for white boy use by coupling it with shorts. Long sleeve cotton pearl snaps collared button down shirts that are very light material. These are my go to and I have found Ely Cattleman to be my best bet for comfort, style and price. I normally find these on the discount rack at Bootbarn. You can get them pretty cheap this way. The pearl snaps make for quick removal, they dry pretty quick.

These are my absolute favorite shirts for work and play. I wear them more than anything else. They keep me cool and comfortable. You can open the buttons up for my air flow or to get that Sexy Burt Reynolds look that every lady loves. Roll up the sleeves and get to work when appropriate. Doubles as lady lounging wear when you find yourself in certain situations that require a coverup for your lady friend.

My arms look like beef jerky after years working in construction. I wish I would have covered them more when I was a young man. Dermatologist every year for the last 15 years, go get checked out if you have not. We should also talk face sunscreen. I wear it every day and have tried a bunch. I like this the best right now for my face.

When I was a golf course superintendent my employees had a choice in uniform shirts long or short sleeve. The only guys that ever chose short sleeve were the gringos and my mechanics! My mechanics rarely left the shop everyone else was in the sun 8 or more hours a day.

Did not expect this thread to go as long
With all the post from members in the past of skin cancer removals I’m not that surprised.

If you really want to keep this going I can start posting pictures of what my brother went through or even worse what my moms husband is going through!!!

Got enough older guys in my family with chunks cut off their skin.

It isn’t killing any of them, but isn’t fun.

I did have a dermatologist a while back say that, looking at the life jacket shaped sunspots on my back, I’ll definitely get skin cancer later.

I have the regular RTX shirts, long sleeves, and hoodies for working out and will be getting these updated versions when I can get some $ together. Not cheap, but the entire supply chain is U.S. Fabric, thread, manufacturing, design, etc. I’m a huge fan and am slowly replacing all my old stuff.

Are we going to get any restocks on any of the shirts? All the stuff i'm looking for is OOS!

Wrangler and the like cotton, long sleeve shirts. Yeah, for more than 20 years.
Shorts year round. Half the time in Williams. The other half, in BHC
Dutch on both sides.
I'm lucky enough to not have something that needs to be cut off.
Brother is a welder and has a few issues with skin needing attention.

Get the spots checked out.
