does anybody have any experience with the suede steering wheel that come in a corvette. I'm in the market and love the look but not sure how they hold up.
Any Chevy guys beside Jason Holley I should be calling when I buy?
As always, Thanks in advance for any input

My wife has a 17, never really noticed the wheel. Seems to turn the car ok.

I’ve had them in Offroad cars and loved them, when i finally replace my existing Momo in my car I’ll go back to suede in it.

I think only the Z06, ZR1 ZL1 and 1LE cars have the suede wheel?

Feels great in the hand and helps with sweat slip when you are really getting after it.

Jason is legit give him a shot:)

It didn't hold up as well as leather in my CTSv. Felt great and I liked the look though.

The suede will kinda get glossy and matted down over time. It does comes back to life with a gentle cleaner though. If a woman is gonna drive it, or if you use hand lotion, I'd pass. Otherwise just keep it clean and it will probably be ok.

It’s like a sponge. All the dirt and oil from your hands over time gets absorbed, stained and is nasty.

Make sure you clean it often, tho it’ll still eventually show wear and stains regardless.

As far as dealers go Kerbeck, Criswell or MacMulkin, all on the east coast. They will be very difficult to beat in price and service.

I prefer it in a sports car. I have it in my Porsche. 100% real suede though.

With that said, depending on the quality of the suede, I'm not sure it will hold up well if its a daily driver. Some times what is thought to be suede can actually be alcantera or "faux suede" which is a mixture of polyester and some other shit. IMO that doesn't hold up and will eventually wear off or look matted or like rough leather.

True suede will hold up and can be reconditioned. Always helps to make sure your hand are clean.
