The American president of Budweiser has still not figured out he needed to apologize and admit the mistake - how he’s still employed is beyond my comprehension. He’s actually doubled down as if the customers are all wrong, and he’s right. Previous president said the current one should have been fired months ago for this, that’s why the consumers all said fu, and will continue to do so. Stock is trading at 50% of 6 months ago, which shows that the parent company is complicit with the actions. They aren’t coming back anytime soon - turns out, they have worthy competitors who are tickled pink with AB’s stupidity combined with their arrogance. The employees getting hurt have been treated like shit - go down the steer and get a job at the competition- they’re really busy and need the help!

ESG.

They believe they were right. They found scapegoats. They all still get paid :)

So let’s assume we can buy the stock for 50 cents on the dollar of actual market value when company is running on all 8. Might just be a market manipulation strategy by top brass to double down on stock holdings. In todays day and age it’s always a hustle someplace if you look at it from the right angle. 🤷‍♂️

Off topic, but a funny thing.
More than once I’ve been on jobs where the operator has ran off the directional company I was working for at that time.
“Pack up your shit, we are going with XYZ directional and see if that’s more efficient…”
OK
Me: “hello XYZ directional, Tommy here. I heard you got this work and I’m available, and as you know because we’ve worked together for 20 years at a bunch of other companies, I’ve got a bunch of experience on that project and in that field”
Them : “GREAT! Can you be there in 2 days?”

And so I show right back up with a different name on my hard hat.

I’d love to know how much of their compensation is made up of stocks. I bet it’s a lot and that they take minimal salaries. So depending on what price they got their shares at, they probably weren’t even effected.

Agree with this. I really did not care until they refused to take responsibility. Leadership has a duty to its shareholders, regardless of what they think is the mission, increasing shareholder value is the only mission at a public company. That type of stock price drop is enough that the BOD should be making changes. If not shareholders should boot the BOD, at the next opportunity.

This was easy to solve. Apologize.

I would like to apologize to our loyal customers, employees, distributors, partners, and shareholders. We grossly miscalculated the appetite of our customers to embrace the current social climate and should have never mixed activism with our ability to provide a product. As the leader of this company, I take full responsibility and would like to earn back your business by lowering prices to our distributors for the next 6 months, increasing the salary of our employees, and providing funding for Mike Rowe and his trade school endeavors. Budweiser has a long tradition of providing a refreshing break for the working class, we will return to our roots and focus on the demographic that we mistakingly discounted.

Would that have been so hard?

Agreed! I think most people don’t give a shit about the lifestyles or whatever. They are pissed about the constant agenda trying to make them give a shit.

BL is still the #2 selling beer for the year as far as I can tell. It is not #2 in week to week sales.
Lol that’s because you are looking at the other half of the year before this happened.

Go look at current numbers. Vendors are removing bud light from Planograms on shelving. That’s a big issue.

I ran to some guys at the little sandbar yesterday. They had just returned home from Sturgis and stopped in town for a couple days. I asked about the booth and they said the videos are accurate. They couldn't give that beer away.

The “current numbers” put them at the number 2 best selling beer in America for the year. 😉

They may not end the year that way.

It’s not a big issue. I don’t buy or drink Bud Light, nor do I care about their stock price. As far as I’m concerned it’s a positive because better beer will take its place on shelves.

I was a little surprised how many bars still had Bud Light neon and signs up in Sturgis and the surrounding areas.
Saw very few drinking it though.

I was in Nashville in May and saw maybe one or two in all the places we went there.

We asked a bartender how much BL was selling and she said VERY little.
She did tell us there was a near brawl with a few guys when someone made a comment about another buying Bud Light.

And finally:

If Disney releases the Snow White Woke remake it’ll be their Bud Light mistake.

Walk into an AM Legion or VFW post...you'd be hard pressed to find it on tap. Hell at the post I go to its gone...they keep a handful of bottles for 1 or two people. No one else will touch it. They couldn't give it away at a buck a pitcher (it took forever for them to finish the last keg that wasn't sent back).

This was a fiasco...that hurt distributors due to out of touch execs doing what they do... Reminds me of Washington...

I was thinking about this the other day. I know zero transgender people that are even slightly affected by all this. I do know a few normal Joe’s that are sweating their jobs right now.
I get the idea but it seems to me y’all are only hurting your own. I guess that is acceptable collateral damage these days …
It might be the company you work for next.
But it has to start somewhere. There is always unexpected consequences in any battle. It just so happened that Budlight was in the right place at the wrong time. A brand that had broad appeal got caught showing their true feelings and there core customers disagree. We need more of this to happen.

I don't drink it any longer (before this actually...I think they changed the recipe when InBev took over) but I still have all of my Bud Light memorabilia, sign, etc. I like to look back at how great AB was being All-American and the nostalgia of it all.

They will not apologize until Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street tell them they can apologize. The CEO still wants to get paid..

Does this sound like they are going to let them apologize?

"In the USA you are what you wear, you are what your drive, you are what you drink." - Clint Eastwood

Schlitz was the Number One beer and on the strength of one fuck up, overnight vanished from the shelves to never return.
Budweiser and Bud products will do, that is have done the same. Different fuck up, same results.
Losses are in the hundreds of millions soon to be losses in billions.

Bud light gave me graveyard class headaches, Budweiser gave me wild dreams. I asked in a thread once if others got wild dreams from Budweiser and some chimed in they too got them.

Hate to see them go like this but a company shouldn't act cavalier and hand the keys to their reputation to a woke nutcase.

A separated-at-birth woke twin to Alissa Heinerscheid the woke ad lady behind all this and I had a toe to toe debate at the REI store in Northridge recently.

When she realized the online order I was picking up was Bear Spray she screamed Animal Cruelty and screamed she wasn't going to sell it to me. a HUGE SCENE! Too late, it was paid for online, I had my receipt and product in hand and left the store. "I use it for self protection for everything" I said and she went ape shit.

What no one here has touched on is the massive push across this once great country is the stalking and grooming of children going on to further this insanity.
It's destroying lives and families.

What pisses me off is the fact that REI won't follow-up or do anything to address her behavior as an employee. The stores sells it...she has no option. If you don't like it...don't work there.

I think this is where most of the supposedly "transphobic" land on this. If you're an adult and decide to have your genitals mutilated more power to you I hope it works out for you.
But this whole transgender care is health care for minors is bullshit. They are ill equipped to handle any of this they can't drink, smoke at their age hell they can't even have a friend under 18 in the car with them when they get a driver license but they're supposed to be able to make this life changing decision? Their "parents" should be brought up on child endangerment charges if they're pushing this on them.
It sure seems to happen mostly on one side of the political spectrum.
