Sturgis 2024 hotel suggestions….

Anyone have suggestions on hotels for the event? Taking the wife so dive hotels are out of the question.

What type of vibe and scene are you into?

Deadwood would be awesome to stay at if you wanted something in the heart of the action but more low key.

Spearfish is great if you want to be close but outside of the chaos. It's about a 30 minute ride to Sturgis, and has all the amenities of stores restaurants etc but way less action.

I would probably be looking at Airbnbs

Good points and great start. The wife would like to be outside of the craziness. However, we will be with other people. Plus a 30 minute ride would be a bit to go back and forth if I have to pick-up and drop her off from time to time if she gets too tired. The Airbnbs is being discussed as well. Then you have all the placed to go And ride to as well. Keep the info coming guys.

If you want to stay in Sturgis proper, the Baymont is the only decent hotel. There are a couple other places but they’re pretty grimey and I wouldn’t stay at them with a spouse or significant other. AirBnB’s are your best bet in town.

If you have an RV or camper many people that live in Sturgis allow campers to stay on their property for a small fee during the rally.

Deadwood and Rapid City have a lot more options for lodging. Both are close to Sturgis and have a lot going on during the rally as well.

No matter where you stay make sure to eat at Uncle Louie’s. There’s one on the main drag in Sturgis and one in Spearfish. My uncle owns both. The food is good, the portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable.

airbnb is the way to go to stay in town, then you can walk to main events There is also a Best western which isn't to far from the main drag, ( but not rally walking distance)
I prefer to stay at the holiday inn express in Spearfish, ( the motorcycle club Hampsters also stay there), its like its own bike show, also the bar that is attached is huge and awesome

Days End RV park has bungalows, it's right off the freewy in Sturgis, 5 minutes to walk into the chaos. You will have to shower at the main park shower building but they do have private showers everything there is nice and clean. I stayed in an RV there every time i went.

No camping or campers for the wife and I. Our friends might have but I think that we are leaning to Hotel OR Airbnb

I don’t blame you. I park an RV in my uncles front yard, it’s convenient and free but it’s hard to beat the conveniences of a hotel. It also doesn’t hurt that they have a nice “hooters style” bike wash in Desdwood.

I’m planning to do a few days at the rally this year and will probably stay in Deadwood. The Casinos suck but the town has a really unique vibe.
