Here is an idea for those that don’t want to suffer alone. We all do it in one form or another.

Dropped a Dana 60 diff on my foot from chest high. Yea it hurts a little. At least I can walk on it. Steel toe boots but it has to hit the steel toe. Threw a drive shaft out to the scrap Pyle and it bounced back and got me right past the steel toe too.

Not today, but had a similar F'up a year or so ago. Was being lazy, and didn't set a ladder, limbed the pallet rack. Reaching the next shelf above my head, slide the board a little bit, trying to reach the dairy crate with brackets. Heard something "thump", but didn't hear it roll. When it rolled off the board, it only fell maybe 8-10 inches before hitting my head, and sending me to the floor.

9" mini spool.
F'rs on a low shelf now...

I knew better and should have headed the bitch off....my bad for now.....but she will eventually learn not to do that shit.

Ha, when I do that kinda stuff I walk back in the house, tell my wife I’m bleeding and she says what did you do now? 😂

Did that the other day putting up Christmas lights...told the wife to come to the garage. I handed her some gauze and duct tape. She said the garage floor looks like a crime scene. I stuck a razor blade into my finger trying to fix a glue gun.

I know this won’t garner too much sympathy but……… while getting on my boat this morning, I was startled by an iguana, and ended up spilling all my coffee all over my freshly detailed boat. It was a mess.

This is actually the 2nd time that this has happened. I cannot help but wonder…….. if I do it a 3rd time, is that when I officially have earned my Darwin Award?

Your wife is less advanced than mine….otherwise she’d have trained you to ask for help from the door….so you don’t drip blood all in the house. The primary injury that caused the initial bleeding mostly gets ignored at that point what with the subsequent beatings.

You need to hit up Xring for his pellet rifle options, then maybe reconnoiter the boat first before getting in and “suggesting” any iguanas move on?

Not unless you spill your coffee, slip, hit your head, fall outta the boat and drown. Ya gotta die to earn that reward.

My skin is like rice paper now. I was convinced it was because of decades of swimming 2-3 a miles a day in a pool. Asked my skin cancer DR about my theory, he just shook his head and said "nope, you're just getting old".
I cut or scratch myself every fucking day and half the time I don't even know it. I buy band-aids in those 100 in a box online deals. Have them in the garage, house, river house, all the cars and the boat.

I feel like Les Nessman.

Using your big toe, spell the alphabet. It will keep the soft tissue from stiffing up while you heal. 😉

Hope your foot is OK @bonesfab The last time I did something similar, I ended up seven weeks off work. I know that’s probably not an option for you. Hopefully you’re doing well.

I asked my Daughter to find some paperwork on her car.
She swore up and down she never had it --even before looking.
I said she did have it after I turned half the house upside down.

Then Mom got involved.
Arguing and a few tears.
She brought me the papers I was looking for about 30 minutes ago.
It was under her bed.

Took an Uber to the airport in Ottawa to only take another Uber back to the hotel in Ottawa.

Flight was cancelled - freezing rain and inbound flights couldn’t land. 6 hours wasted in the airport. Try again tomorrow to get to my customer in DC.

Years ago I fed the 20" disc sander about a 1/4 of the tip of my thumb. About a 45 deg angle to midway in the nail. Mofo that hurt after the shock wore off.

Have to post it everytime one of theses threads pops up.
I'm impressed...

Nothing stupid today yet but last January had some dumb shit going on involving a miter saw. 😬

Nerve blocks are awesome btw!

Holy Shit!
Cut myself many times on the hands but never lopped off part of a finger.
Worst I ever did was cut the skin of one of my knuckles off while trimming the layup off a hull in the mold with a razor knife. Cut didn't hurt til later but the resin and scrubbing they did acetone stung a little. Saved the skin and they sewed it back on.

Always turn the power off and check twice.
My boss when I started out framing many years carried a picture for our "safety meetings" at the bar.
Carpenter drilling up through a block at waiste high with a ship auger. Bit caught in his shirt, had the trigger button on and couldn't get the drill shut off. Auger went up through his chin and out the top of his head. Doctors couldn't decide whether to screw it out the top or back out of the bottom. He was OK, missed everything vital and he just drooled a little...

Did the same with a small air grinder back around 1971.

Hot slag down the boot/shoe sure makes you dance🤣
Or in your ear when you lean down to make that last bit of weld on an 8" pipe in a ditch. I still remember that one.
