A friend of mine's 35' Fountain was stolen about a month ago near the same area and they recovered the truck, boat & trailer (minus engines & drives) in that area. I wonder if it is the same dirtbags???

Lots of questions !! Was this a members boat ? I know there is a used/consignment dealer in that general area of Petaluma, was it for sale, or being stored? That consignment lot is fenced in pretty good. Those kinds of boats stand out like a sore thumb in this area. I will keep an eye out for it.

No I do not think the owner is a member here. No it was not for sale at Stewart Marine or Marine Unlimited. As far as I now the owner parks it out front of his business which is a parking lot across from "auto row." Yes there are not many nice performance boats like that around Petaluma or surrounding areas but there are a lot of barns and land to hide it in :grumble:

This makes me sick... Rather then being upset that a fellow boater has their boat stolen from them, you're pissed off that the reward is ONLY $1500.. are you f****** kidding me? What a joke.

Myself, I'm very sorry to see this happen again. A wood deck Vdrive was stolen from Parker this weekend also. Also my brother in laws offroad pickup truck was stolen and torched after a short joyride by a few tweekers. These acts seem to be growing in popularity and it sucks. Like was said before, the authorities wonder why we are turning to self protection.

Hope the lowlifes are found ASAP.

Seems like we are seeing an upswing in the theft of stuff, especially in the theft of nice stuff. This kind of shit infuriates me. I hope there is some tweaker somewhere down in the north bay that gets hooked up and decides to play lets make a deal with some info.
When these cases break, many times this is how it happens.
I used to clear lots of theft cases for the property crimes guys when we were workin' the dope.
