Well Billdo.. Prove it? Get in it, and go run 100.. I tell you might boat runs.. You have doubts, I'll go run it. I have doubts billdo.. Go run 100 for me..

RD

It's in the works, lined up a prop already ;). saw 88 a couple weeks ago with the 26p "ski" prop, 4 people, full tanks and 110 degree temps. The test was done with a 30p much less fuel and considerably lower air temps:thumbsup

In 1988, my good friend, who was also my V8 engine guy, and a VIP customer, was interested in the then new 26'-ish version..I made some calls to John & Al to get some numbers for him..I liked dealing with both of them and enjoyed dealing with them. Extremely "set-up" smart, and were men of their word, refreshing in the marine biz. John talked us into the boat, and was rigged by them with twin E-Rude 3.6 gt 300's and delivered to NH without drama, on time, and for the price we agreed on. It was an absolutely beautiful boat and, after break-in/dial-in, saw 117 mph on radar. It was one of the best driving boats I have ever tortured.. The new owner LOVED the boat...for about 3 months. He was teaching his son to drive it on a very windy/blustery day right off our docks, and I stood and watched in horror as the boat kited WAY up, tripped and SLAMMED violently into the water. They both barely survived.
The irony is that I am also a Public Adjuster and handled the total loss with the insurance company for him. I am sure I have that file, I will grab it and post pics of the damage and maybe show you the estimate I prepared for the claim...anyways..sorry to be so gabby, I don't know what came over me...:D ...

Looks like not 100 mph to me.. LOL

RD

Look up the 2002 Hot Boat performance evaluations ;) the boat has already been there done that. in fact I spoke with Greg (GS marine) at the races this weekend about it as he was one of the drivers for the test. Its no doubt the boat will run it again.

Now how about explaining the "Schiada 100mph club" key floatie on the S.S. dry rot?:blah:

All the stokers in the pic at my dock are still in the "family" a couple have switched hands though since that pic. I guess we are kinda like swingers but we swap boats...lol

our 500HP powered 224 ran 100mph during the performance evalutations. find me a vector that will put up that same number. ;) 11 years later the boat still runs perfect and there are no issues with it :thumbsup

Hmm....must be a jet boat speedo....I remember that hot boat test being around 90-95....but what's 5mph among friends...:)

I like this one...

No..unlike Shitadas they are rigged to be used and not sit on a trailer in the garage ;)

So what your basically saying is that they dont make a stoker nice enough to become a trailer queen! At least your honest about it!;):D

Bought a 1986 20 w/2.4 merc to race mod vp ski race. Layed up by Eliminator. John and Al were ultra helpful with the boat as well as the upgrades afterward. Treat them with respect and they are as good as it gets as manufacturers.

The only complaint was the boat was ordered all white, but they put red and blue pin stripes in it.

Does Al Stoker build Stoker boats? My understanding is that he does not.

Does he rig them? Does he profit from them?

I just wanted to say " HI ", peace out bud !..............( . )( . ).........I see you are looking at going fast ......:thumbsup

Besides having a new born, any reason for not owning a 90+ or 100mph boat ?

If you're asking sincerely then I'll give you a sincere answer. I couldn't afford the maintenance on the type of rig that I would want to own that would do 100 mph.

Lets be honest here.. Anybody can go buy a potato chip with a whakker for cheap right now that'd run 100. I'm not much into STV's (although they are cool, just not for me), I don't like Allison's.. About as close as I'd get to a cheaper whakker would be a liberator, mostly because I liked Barney's quite a bit. On the still cheaper side of boating, there's a shitload of mach 22's out there with twins that'll crush those #'s.

I'm not selling my boat to get one of those, because none of them are overly appealing to me. I did for about a 1/2 second consider making DILLIGAF an offer on his orange bullet, trade my boat plus cash.. But then I factored in the price of the removal of the Schiada tattoo and it didn't pencil out. :(

Seriously though, in due time.. LOL I got enough freakin projects right now scattered all over southern california. About 45 Grand in shit to finish up.. Once I'm done with all of that, then I'll probably start building or rebuilding something a little faster, or repowering my current deal with one of Alexi's twin turbo small blocks which would put it in that range. So the answer to your question is back to the 1st sentance, what I would want to own vs Time and money.

I've been in and driven several sub and over 100mph stokers.. :). They are nice boats! I don't have a problem with stokers at all, just joking around with billdo, since he has some deep rooted Schiada envy problems..

Yes I was was being sincere,
Since you are who you are I was kinda suprised you don't own a FAST jet boat !:p . But then again I guess being who you are I'm sure some Bud Light Limes get you a ride in some pretty bitchin' boats :champagne:

Make since time and money :thumbsup , Thanks for the sincere answer, I didn't think I ws gonna get one :D
