Paul Allens "Octopus" is the 11th largest at 413'

Roman Abramovich's "Eclipse" has been the largest now for almost two years at 538' (7' longer than the second largest "Dubai", owned by the sheik of Dubai).

Paul Allens is the blue...The Sheiks is the white.

At 282' Spielbergs new yacht ties for the 40th largest yacht in the world...Respectable but a far cry from Speilbergs good friend and business partner David Geffen who owns the 7th largest yacht in the world "Rising Sun" (3rd photo down).


Also, tid-bit of trivia (especially for JBB), Abramovich also owns the worlds largest private plane Boing 767 300 dubbed "the bandit".

Octopus is sweet for sure. Paul Allen has hired former Navy Seals, Green Baret's etc. as his crew as well.

But the list of super cool sh!t on a yacht (including two heli pads) still goes to "Eclipse"...

---Eclipse has two helicopter pads, 24 guest cabins, two swimming pools, several hot tubs and a disco hall. It also comes equipped with three launch boats, and a mini-submarine that is capable of submerging to 50 metres. Approximately 70 crew members are needed to operate the yacht.

For security, Eclipse is fitted with intruder detection systems and a German-built missile defence system. The windows in Abramovich's master suite and the yacht's bridge are also fitted with bullet-proof glass and both are armour plated. The yacht is also reportedly equipped with an anti-paparazzi shield in the form of lasers that sweep the surroundings, and when they detect a CCD, they shine a light right at the camera to prevent the photograph.---

Looks like that video was taken off the 17 th street bridge in Ft Lauderdale - the boat is parked at pier 66 in the spot that malcom forbes used to keep his boat - the capitalist tool.

Went by Schiada this week and they had something like this kinda length nice custom trailer they built right there on the spot in the shop
Amazing, I'll see if the son snapped a pic of it.
Really excellent.
Boat trailers this long, especially nice blinged out trailers are works of art in them self just sitting their unloaded.

There's always sick yachts there! We were there in Nov. and "Cakewalk" was at the dock just on the other side of the bridge. "Cakewalk" is pretty amazing itself. America's largest built yacht.

I actually had the opportunity to work security for him back in the late 90's (though I passed). A family friend is his moms personal assistant/security. He is definately a cool guy.

Same moldel yes. This will be set up for pleasure with a birth,head,and I think a galley?Not sure about the galley.I posted a couple pics in the gelcoat thread in the tech section,and a couple in the Schiada section.
