Looking to do some upgrades to the speakers, amps, and subs in the magic. Nothing too crazy. What has everyone done in place of the 6x9s in the magics?

I'm actually kinda surprised there isn't more suggestions with "they're the bestest" comments. 😁😁

Get horn speakers if you can. I have 4 speakers total and it’s loud as shit. Obviously gets quieter the faster you go.

Elite Audio built my vending trailer and it thumps. Wired for sound has done every boat stereo I have ever owned. Ron’s in your ear audio did my enclosed trailer.. there’s a new shop in town called westman audio that I have been hearing a lot of good things about.

If you are just looking to replace and upgrade I’d hit up jeff elite first he’s a great guy.

Ron's has always done my work, No complaints. I currently have 8 JL 8.8's and 2 JL 7.7's. Had to make custom pods for them and I had Ron's Gel Coat them grey for me then matched the interior.. Sound is incredibly loud and clear..

You guys really need to give JP @ Adrenaline audio a shot. I've had systems done by all others and he is a step above.

On time, on budget, exceeded expectations.

Edited to add that I have not used Elite Audio.

I had Rons in your ear replace the 6 - 6.5 MB Quarts with JL’s 7.7 , had to make holes bigger and adjust both amps . Job was done on time and I thought was reasonable for the work required .

I have used Ron's as well as Jeff at Elite Audio. I'd recommend both highly.

Ron, took the time to meet with me about an issue I was having with a pretty big factory installed system. Another shop had given me a quote higher than 🦒🍑 to "fix" what was wrong. Ron's crew had it working perfectly (all my led lights, zones, sub amp wiring etc fixed) in around 2 hours of shop time. I was happy to pay him, and appreciated them being honest and not milking the job. I will do more work with them down the road.

Elite did an install for a "side bar" for me recently, quality install and after sale care. Jeff and his wife are solid people and they take care of their customers...would recommend them as well, he makes some pretty cool stuff happen on his installs.

Notable mention.. Westman Audio. They have opened up in Havasu and do great work from what I've seen. The owner was super cool to chat with and they have a good reputation up in Washington. From my understanding they are doing stuff now in Havasu as well. Would not hesitate to work with them either...especially on wet sounds stuff (which is what I have).

How do you like your HTM? I am shopping and am really leaning towards one. I had a 25 Daytona which was great, but felt heavy. Some talk about HTM's being sketchy and to be honest my past of flatbottoms and light outboards, I like that feeling.

I will have to give Ron and elite a call. Who did your interior. That’s on the list for the off season
My interior was done by Extreme Custom Boats in Montclair (In the back of Cobra Boats). Issac is the guys name..

Wired For Sound

Daniel is the best installer/tuner in Havasu, IMO. They killed it on our stereo in the 255.

Converting from 6x9’s if you’re ok with some cover type spacers most all are good. But if you’re looking for one stop glass in the holes and put in new ⭕️ speakers you’d be hard pressed to beat Ron’s.
Michael at SOS is a bad ass at building spacers and covering them but is booked out a way.

X2 with JP, I was very impressed with his work and pricing! Swapped out Mids with Fosgates and a new Fusion head unit. Sounds amazing and he felt my amps were still working fine which he could have easily told me to replace.

Honestly, I just did the stereo in a buddy's boat. Unless you are needing new speaker locations, you can literally do it yourself. I would recommend digital amps in a boat though. I prefer JL HD's or Alpine PDX's. I truly think the JL stuff is the best, but they are the most expensive. The fosgate speakers actually work really well too. I'm not a fan of the kicker stuff, but I really want to try their horns. I hear they are really loud.
