Don't know exactly what is considered "petty".
Going along to get along ain't the answer. But it is the plan of many to entrench themselves and gain self serving "change" from the original framework. The same folks that keep things stirred up so the majority who do the work and pay the bills don't have time and are made to feel guilty if they stop and speak up against the "machine of change".......
So again, what is the definituion of "petty"?Petty is holding up a budget because you arent going to let the current party get any victory. Petty is not passing anything the opposition proposes so you can make them look bad and less effecrive, no matter the consequences to the constituents.
I spend a lot of my time Lobbying for the American Motorcyclists Associationn in Sacto and D.C. we couldn't get a piece of legislation passed that would have deeded a historical cabin to a state, it involved about an acre of land. It was deadlocked. The word on the hill was nothing was getting through.
There are wackos on the left, and the right, always will be. But historically the work has always got done in the middle. Compromise is the working code in politics. Lately that's changed. Also, term limits haven't helped. We don't have any upcoming old warhorses. Everyone's afraid to take a stand, stand out and make waves because everything's held again't them in the future elections they run in as they term out.
