Musk had already said there was only a 50% chance of the flight itself going well...and said it very calmly. The utter immensity of that project, let alone the cubic dollars involved, and to know it's a coin toss:oops:
I really hope it goes well. In the words of DJT, "That thing is yuuuge!"

Funny how before musk fell out of favor with the left and MSM all you ever heard about was space x and their launches and what they were doing blah blah blah. I like this stuff and even to me it was nearly to nauseam. Now, not a peep. The irony is so thick you can cut it with a knife. What a joke.

These guys aren't afraid of failing. The timeframe of development and production for starship has been insane.

When you look at the scope of that project and how fast they designed engineered and produced everything, vs how long it took SLS which uses a ton of existing parts from the space shuttle program, it's really mind blowing.

Everything SpaceX has done is kind of mind blowing...I love it!

Ka Pow !! bummer, but I guess they achieved primary goal today. That continuing tumbling didn't appear to be a good thing. :(

They are calling it a success. Proved what they were looking for.
10 Cents on the dollar compared to NASA according to the WSJ.

Media will call it a failure. But stage 1 did everything it was supposed to do. Stage 2 Separation didn’t go so well. But ultimately this launch validated the years of dedication from thousands of people to create a really cool platform.

I worked on Raptor engine R&D while I was there. Really cool to see them get to this point.
Glad I’m watching from afar and not part of that chaos anymore lol

The raptor engines are really amazing. The full flow combustion process is an ingenious solution to powering the pumps without discarding the turbo pump exhaust.

Are the pre burner pumps common shaft or two separate/disconnected pumps?

Great things are never achieved without accepting the fear / possibility of failure.
