What do you guys suggest for a 10yr old new rider?

Is a 10 year old legal to ride?
14 or 16 is what I remember.

If you think a 550 can’t carve or haul ass. I’ve ridden this one and seen it walk away from 800s on practice bouy course. Of course it’s no where near stock but it’s still a 550.
