Got to St. Kitts on Saturday for a week. It’s our daughter’s (12 & 10) first passport trip. Youngest is already asking why we can’t just stay here and she wants to be homeschooled. Pretty sure I’d go broke fast if I stayed here for over a month…

It’s been a great trip so far! We did the island circle tour on Monday which was pretty cool. I really wanted to see Brimstone Hill and as a history buff, it was Awesome!

So much world history in one small island. My daughters were making fun of me for geeking out at the Fort.

Have many more pics, but too big to post on here…

Keep posting pics and explain the pic.
We love the Caribbean and haven't been to St Kitts yet but we have a friend that bought an older beachfront resort on Nevis and has been remodeling it through Covid for the last 3 years.
He even bought a new Aguila 44 to live on while he was rebuilding the resort.
What an adventure and undertaking.
We can't wait to go see the finished product and visit him again.

Woke up early to see the sunrise this morning and were SOL as a nice cloud bank was in the way. Oldest daughter said F that and stayed in bed, but the youngest was all for it anyway.

Love this pic.❤

Thanks for the tour, St Kitts is a great place to visit. It has so much more to offer than just a hotel with a pool.

How the hell did monkeys end up on that island, and what danger lurks beyond that sign and those rocks ?😅 Glad to see there's a nice calm lee side to that island. Never got that far out on the leeward isls, thanks for sharing. 👍

We head back home tomorrow. Just a few more pics from the week.

This was at Romney Manor which was a sugar plantation back in the day and is believed to be the first place rum was made in the Caribbean . The plantation was started by Thomas Jefferson’s Great Great Great Grandfather Samuel Jefferson, I believe. This tree is believed to be the oldest in the Caribbean at over 400 years old.

This is where the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic meet. You can see the breakwater in the pic where they hit head on…

This is the “Black Rocks” area where the volcanic flow last entered the sea.

Pic looking South from Timothy Hill. Atlantic on left and Caribbean on right. You can see Nevis in the far off distance in the clouds.

Great trip @Roosky01 !! Thanks for sharing.👍😎👍
Our daughter went through the age of skipping an outing on vacations, the regrets didn't hit her until later in life. 😉😊
