I hope they run a #6...much faster and lighter.
I know , I guess for warranty they have to use an 8 .

My RPM Redline 26 ran 123 MPH on GPS with a 750 HP NA BBC. This is with a massive Imco SCX drive. The video is on here somewhere, but I can find it if anyone is really that interested.
The RPM is a very large 26, much bigger than the Nordic 28 SS or Eliminator 27 Speedster on the water. The DCB F29 and 28 Speedster are wide beam boats in a different league.
They still building the RPM after the owner passed? Remember seeing the first one at the LA boat show in 07 and with a 525 it outran everything in that size
No, they are not building them since Steve died. I wish someone would have purchased the mold, it was an outstanding design. Probably, one of the fastest and best handling single engine cats ever. I was very impressed taking a demo ride with him when he turned his so tight that I had to really hang on to the grab rail. If I had tried that in my Mach 26, I would have hooked a chine and either spun out or turned over. The RPMs turn almost as well as a V bottom.
Mine is hull # 12. I think he made 2 boats after that before passing.
I know the guy that owned the F 29 with a single 700, cuddy, open bow. His name is Fred... He just sold it.
That boat ran 104 with a stock 700/NXT and went 110 after he Whippled it.
If you don't believe me, I will get you his number and you can call him...
Thanks
It was time for the family and I to sell. We wanted something a tad more user friendly and that could pu the kids around on the tube. Nothing bad to say about the boat, it had just ran its course for us.
I will ask you this can you sustain a steady speed of 60 or 70 without porpoise ??

That never happened to me. The only time I got it is when I would try and trim a little early coming up to speed it seems little bump back down and it would go away.
I no longer own my SS...
Is that the 35 open bow that was for sale in Ogden for a while? Had 600 mercs right?
Sweet. Would like to check it out one day.

Brett Kenley's old boat nice! Also better equipped for an overnighter should you find yourself tied off to a buoy at Lake Powell! Lol
Sounds good. Going to try and make it to the Monster Bash...
How would this pull a tube or wake board. I was at cobra yesterday looking at the new Python deck and talking about maybe having one built. Live never ridden in a cat and that's one thing that was said. Great for kids and dogs unless u are doing water sports.Just a suggestion, what ever you chose, get a walk off bow if possible.

I'm all done for the year. Just drained the boat and put it away last weekend. Birds start flying soon. Getting mud boats ready to go now.
Not true. I pull my kids on tubes, wake-boarding and skis using my deck boat. I added tabs so I can stay on plane at 18mph. I think it comes to how the transom is designed for access.
Nothing wrong with that. I will tell you this is my favorite month in Havasu the Monster Bash is a ton of fun. I will be leaving my boat down there, than come home and start praying for lots of snow for some 2 stroke tree dodging.
Probably will never get down there in October. I hunt about 80 days a year between first Saturday in Oct. through mid Jan. I only summer boat for something to do in the off season. My family loves Powell. We got down there 7 times this year and did a total of 34 days on the water this summer. Utah Lake pretty much sucked this year with the water levels. Had just a couple good days there.

Right on. You a member of one of those desert carp clubs out by the airport?
I never got on Utah lake this year.
Ya two actually. One north of the airport about 5-6 miles and one at the end of 500 south in bountiful.
Nice, went out to one once with a buddy, it's pretty cool out there.
I've done it V, but it's not the ideal boat for water sports, unless your riders like to haul ass of course.
You can drive it this weekend.
I'm thinking about an early morning run on Mojave while all the drunks sleep off their hangovers!
