I said it before. CEL and electronics are going to plague the first batches of cars. That video called out alot of issues from steering feedback to brakes to CEL every time they slowed down. The Speed Service dept will have its hands full for awhile.
Hands full? That is an understatement.

You hit the nail on the head. However I still think everyone is having the wool pulled over their eyes.

It is still believed by some these cars are not mass manufactured and are one off vehicles to garner more deposits while Robbie takes the deposits and funds other projects.

The customers can't take the cars home and don't own these cars. Lastly this is 10 cars out of a supposed 18000 cars.

This is basically the biggest deep fake in offroad.

And you people have fallen for it.

Lol.. and yes I’m laughing at you

Here are some pics from this weekend. We did 155 miles and I’d says 30 really hard with me trying to break it on Parker race course type terrain. I had a great weekend I’m I’m happy with the car. Hopefully these pics make all you salty fuckers extra happy 😘

I didn’t see or hear anything about that but I used it no issues. It’s a sequential gear box so most forget to put it in park I would assume.
Maybe thats what it was, I was just told some of the cars "didn't have park and rolled down the hill". My bad if this is bad info as the person I got it from is usually pretty legit and they were on the ride lol.

It’s all good. There is a lot that’s new and it takes time to figure out. Shifting gears and 4wd is more raw and less user friendly like a race car.

Congrats on the new ride. I am sure the suspension is top notch and RG knows what he is doing with that. Did you experience any CEL or dash freezing issues?? How did the car itself run? Did you get the steering feedback issue like it was fighting you to turn?

Can you go from a forward drive gear to reverse with the car running or do you have to shut it off?

If I recall correctly it’s p-r-n-low-drive-high. I didn’t try so I’m not sure but you would have to go to low first so speeds couldn’t be much if even possible.

Ya I just meant while you are idling, you know on some sequential in order to goto reverse you had to turn off the car.....

Power and delivery are great. Gearing in each gear is perfect. We some highway driving around 50-80 and 3rd gear was perfect and you can easily take off from 3rd. Suspension is great in small chatter and eats in big rollers and g-outs with zero buck. Keep in mind I didn’t touch the suspension adjustments. This car turns great with zero push. Stock head lights are pretty good and hazards and turn signals are a great addition. The wiring harness is prewired for everything regardless if you got accessories. Front and rear view camera are badass.

Temporary for our ride. We did paperwork with them Friday and registration will probably be finalized today with mvd given their hours. I had insurance in place before arriving.

Thanks for the feed back. Did you shift the car through the forward gears while driving? If so what did you think about how it worked?

Yes I did. It’s fairly easy if you know the technique. Gas it, let off, shift as it’s unloaded. That’s only from 2nd to 3rd. I didn’t downshift.

Same way you shift a Gear Venders.

And yes, I've had one for 20 years, so I know how it works. 🙄

I wish the rzrs had a real parking brake, pulling the car out of park if you are on any kind of steep incline feels so hard on the linkage
Totally! Honestly the whole shifting linkage on the Pro R feels like its going to snap half the time shifting it lol. Ive checked the adjustment several times and its correct too.

Thanks! So there were for sure some items that we knew about before and after that will be addressed. The cars had upgraded ECUs with data logging for this weekend and the tuner was with us on the rides and plugged into several cars. The screen froze on me once all weekend after I kept pushing the screen switch button several times and then it caught up. The hazard light on the screen will go away and tire pressure sensors were not activated on the display. However I had no check engine lights. The steering had some feedback and they have a second gen servo that resolves the issue that one of the cars was running that all cars will get. I had some small issues Saturday that they mostly addressed Sunday and the remainder will be addressed before pickup. During the whole weekend the hospitality was great, from the hotel room and food and drinks they provided to the team and how accommodating they were. They asked all of us for good and bad feedback that they appear to be taking very serious. I’m happy to help them and future customers.

Added: Motor oil temps were around 200*, coolant temps 180-190*, and belt temps rarely went over 180s* even going 60 on the highway. By the way its nice to see actual temps! The boost and oil pressure were reported in BAR given the ECU swap. I got around 10 mpg so range should be around 100-140 miles, it really depends on terrain and how much your in the boost. The tuner said it will make around 260hp on two injectors and has 4 for E85 and mid 300s is easily attainable. shifting into 4wd takes some technique and need to be rolling slow given its is manually engaged which might be an issue for your everyday joe.

As a future customer I would say thank you very much I was there last Friday drove up from Glamis then drove back that night it was an awesome event. As a future Diablo owner I don’t even care if I get mine before the end of this year I just wanted to be as good as they can get it. Thank you for having some time to do some posting and let us know how things go.

I believe that’s only when they have a torque converter

I believe you are correct. I know you do not need to turn off a clutch car with a sequential. I have no experience with a CVT sequential.

Thank you sir👊🏻👊🏻 I am stoked that we have a intelligent member who is a first run owner and shares quality feedback without bias. Much appreciated 👍🏻

Put together some video and a lot of detailed photos of customer cars and a few photos of the pre-production for comparison. There’s some video at the beginning of the announcements and in the middle there’s a video of Todd making the announcement of carb certification. You can skip through the video in the beginning to get to the photos if you like. It’s great to see all this info coming out now hopefully we see more cars soon.

Understand that these first 10 not being able to take their cars home contributes to the optics of continued delays, but my understanding is that speed is keeping them to perform the first break in fluid changes (hopefully doing some form of laboratory oil analysis), doing a nut and bolt inspection (think race prep), and make the pertinent updates that were put into place on production cars after these were built (new cases for transaxles as an example).

Not ideal that these owners still can't use the cars on their own terms, but I also wouldn't turn down a free service, prep, and the updates.

Sounds to me like real work testing that also pleases some owners at the same time.
Hope they don’t hold onto these cars for an extended period.

Complete new gear box not just the case. The beefed up the case thickness and also the heat treat spec on some of the gears. Each of the owners gave a list of feedback. The Speed team had sheet printed out for each car we could list our concerns/feedback on. I would say roughly 60% of the items will be addressed in the PDI going forward. The other 40% I would hope are going to be addressed in manufacturing.

RG told me around March 1st but we all know how there time estimates have been going. He also said if it's going to be much longer than that we could grab our cars to use and bring them back. I would like to think that most of the first 50 customers knew what they were getting into on a new production car. I did and I'm fine with it. I think its cool to be part of and provide my input. However, its not for most and I get that. They can sit and wait or go buy something else.

Who eats the cost to replace the transmission, Speed or the manufacturer?

No idea. I dont think anybody except Robby, Todd, and probably Daniel know the agreement in place with Hisun.

Sean from Weddle who has posted on here and some other sites said that he never saw or was asked for any of the heat spec specifications when he was assisting with Albins in the design.

So my guess is either the spec came from Speed or the gear manufacture which I think is in South Korea used their own basis or however you want to say it what they thought would work.

The good news is they identified it even before king of the hammers and we’re working on it. Robbie just wanted to go out there and beat the shit and find other things either good or bad which I think was a good thing as a deposit holder.

I know I didn’t answer your question but it’s probably the gear manufacturer or speed.
The cases I think. At this time did not crack on its own it cracked because gears got caught between gears and it split. This is just another opportunity to strengthen the case even more.
