Does anyone know if he is out of buisness? Went by there a couple times and the lighted sign says closed and phone goes to a recording.

I might be wrong but think a Member posted he has been waiting a few months for his appointment and not answering so he could get caught up on the back log. I think Scott posted it.

I got a hold of speed of sound a month or so ago. I didnt really get a quote and he seemed so busy that I am not going to wait to upgrade my stereo, rons gave my a typed up quote and could work on it in a week or so.

I believe the World Finals stereo competition is this weekend, I'm sure he is getting ready for the event. And there is a reason that he is so back logged and Ron's can get to you in a week.

He has returned every single one of my phone calls, emails, and texts in a prompt manner. Sorry if that is not the case for someone else.

He is at the world finals, so it essentially vacation time for him right now. October 5th-20th.

Keep in mind he is a one man show and considered to be one of the best, with that comes wait times.

He always returns my calls, texts or emails. If the sign says closed during business hours it because he's working on someone's toy and can't watch the storefront at the same time. Go around back and say hi.

I had a similar experience. I know the dude is super talented and really wanted him to do my install but after trying to get in to speed of sound off and on for many months, I went to Ron's. I would have preferred spl2k to do it, but I just couldn't keep waiting with no idea when he could get to it.

Ive seen his stuff in Instagram thought about getting in line but sounds like it might be longer than I want to wait. Is rons in havasu or ? And does anyone have recommendation for someone else in the IE area?

I've always reached him by Texting him...I had planned on having him do my system but ended up going to CarToyz as they could get me in last week. I didn't want to wait any longer. He does great work. I am very satisfied with the CarToyz system as well.

He is the schiada of stereo installers....

He can only handle so much custom work and has jobs lined up. You either wait for the quality or go a different route....No need to answer the phone if all you're going to do is piss people off because you can't get them in.

He takes his time and does tremendous work....I don't think there is anyone else in havasu that comes close.

If your just swapping out amps or putting new speakers in the same holes there are other shops. If you want the most at of your system he is the guy to go to...imo

I just talked to him Monday at his shop. I am scheduled to have my new car (new to me) in for a new Kenwood Stereo/Nav/Vehicle integration system done on the 24th of this month and the Advantage goes in as soon as he's done with that for a small upgrade/tune. He did mention to me that he will be gone and won't be back till just before then.

He has worked on 2 boats and a full install on my last Caddy (now totaled) and everything has worked flawlessly........he is truly the Schiada of installers (at least here in Havasu)........and I'm not talking about only quality if you know what I mean:rolleyes

If you're on Instagram you can follow him @ spl2k and see tons of his work. He's also got a fair amount posted to his website but it's a lot older.

Btw - congrats on the new boat. I love it and thought about it many times, just couldn't drop that much on a second boat for a toy. You will have endless hours of fun and sip fuel, not to mention no HOP.

He did my 32. You're welcome to come to my storage unit and see and hear it. He is worth the wait IMO, but I'm a pretty patient guy.

If you are looking for local Phx shop, Chad at Audio Sensations , and Andy at House of Sound are my two local go to guys.

Andy is installing the Kelderman lift on my truck. His shop, work ethic, and work product is over the top. He isn't cheap, but neither is anything good.

I know, its a little late to reply to this now, but I just saw it.... It looks like this all took place while I was gone to Texas and Kentucky for USACI and dB Drag World Finals. (I won my 7th and 8th World Championships while there)

Im very sorry to anyone that had trouble getting ahold of me. Like mentioned above, i'm a one man shop and stay booked out quite a ways at times and just get completely overwhelmed at times.
928-680-6868 is the correct number and honestly, you'll get the fastest response by texting. I know thats not real good business practice but my hearing is so bad (you can imagine why), that I hate talking on the phone.

Ive been recommending the shit out of you on a few different FB places, but I have also said that it can be a wait to get in because you are backlogged and even told them that "I" cant even get in to see you till DS weekend...
