I've never had Scrapple before, but it obviously has way more attractive looking packaging/marketing & product.
Spam, however, fed our wartime heros & families when things were really rough. Pan fry it and make a grilled cheese sammy with it👍

It’s pretty good, just don’t read the ingredients

And get the thin crispy scrapple. Not the thick gooey scrapple

It’s pretty good, just don’t read the ingredients

Scrapple is said to have everything but the oink in it.

Spam = Pork, salt, sugar and sodium nitrate... Pretty easy reading.

I have a recipe from one of my great aunts, who was a legendary cook, for something called "ham loaf". It tastes a lot like Spam and scrapple, but is made with ham obviously and not the leftover trimmings from the factory floor.
