Oh.... I might have to be down at SpaceX that day. Their big launches are always an event down there in Hawthorne.

Took this picture a month or so ago. You can get way closer than you would think. Didn’t see a single security guard around. Pretty bad ass deal.

I was thinking the same. Didn't think much of it until I saw the JLG lift next to it.

It's like 30ish feet in diameter and about 400' tall.

Biggest and most powerful spacecraft ever built by a long shot.

Also fully reusable, the upper stage can re-enter and and be re-used unlike the falcon where only the booster can be re-used.

as far as payload, the falcon can tax about 50 starlink sats up at once, this can take 400 at once.

That's pretty incredible

Seems like they're doing a launch about every other day. The live feed pops up on my YouTube all the time.

It tore up the launch pad the last time it went up.

They have a deluge system now, it has been tested and passed.

The old launch pad they had some things they wanted to change, so they just tried with nothing to see what would happen. That first launch was 100% expendable as everything had been through several upgrades since it was built

When we were down there you could see soccer ball plus sized pieces on concrete some with the rebar still hanging out of it scattered all over the place. There were also a couple of buildings that had holes blown through them from the concrete going everywhere.
