Falcon 9 with more Starlink satellites going up at 6:14PM this evening. About 15 minutes after sunset, so it could be a good one if the sky isn't too bright still. Might cause idiots to crash on the freeways again.

Even if it's bright out it's still amazing to watch. Science Fiction - looks fantastic. Visible beyond the curvature of the earth if the sun reflects off it right.

Any idea if the satellite launch/release will be visible from Phoenix? That was awesome to see over Honolulu a few years back.

This is how bright these launches are at night.

One time I was out riding at nite in the boondocks of Lake Tahoe. Under a tree canopy. We stopped turned off all the lights and it was pitch fucking black. Zero city light. ….. I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face…. If you would have walked around you would have run into something. Yes I was scared

We looked up at the stars which are brilliant with no city lights.

All of a sudden what looked like a very bright light flew up in front of us. Finally figured out it was a rocket. It looked like it was right in front of us which would have been Sacramento.

When I got home I looked it up and it was a launch out of Vandenberg. And that’s 600 miles to the southwest of us.

It looked so close though….. like 20 miles close…. The darkness of the sky where I was really highlighted the launch

Hopefully it isn't that bright out still, these are amazing to see in the sky.

If it launches at 6:15 PM PDT, it will officially be 12 minutes after sundown. In astronomical terms, "Civil Twilight" is at 6:28 PM.

I do not believe it's going to be as spectacular as this launch back in Dec 17' . But should be clearly visible.

They are getting harder to see as they have been coating the sats with an anti-reflective product to minimize light pollution for earth based astronomy.

There is a "Find Starlink" app that has awesome information on the timing of them based on your ground location.

Bummer on the coating. When I saw them over Honolulu the satellites were so visible it was a little eerie all lined up so neat going from the horizon to the mountains.

It looked like there were two separate launches??

One went straight up and went east, and one went straight up and then south.

The south one looked like a normal Starlink launch. The other just looked like a rocket!

Can still see the mess in the sky from the second one. 👍🏼👍🏼

Watched it in the driveway in CC...its pretty dark here so the rocket really lit up the sky. You could see the booster coming down as well. Got a couple pics....really freaking cool how much it lit up the sky here.

That was Bad Ass!
I could see both and watched the reentry burn for the bottom one as the top part was still jamming from here in Yucaipa.
Had the Spacex stream going on the computer.
Really cool!!!

That was amazing! Wish I knew I could have seen it from the launch - I was out driving and saw it - quite a show!

Must be a crazy sight from jalama Beach! They must shut it down. I miss beach camping there, it's been 3 years , I would love to get a site when one of these launches goes off

I didn’t even know this was happening today and just happened to be out in the driveway when it went up. Impressive show!
Ditto…was meeting the door dash driver and ran back inside to get MaK. I told my wife it was an ICBM launch…she didn’t see the humor as we are “button boy Hawaii missile survivors!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That's basically a 3rd row seat and I don't believe they close it down
