South “O” Car Show

If you’re in North County and looking to kill a couple hours on Saturday this is a fun way to do it.
The event is put on by a friend, Dino Iacovino, who is an avid car and boat guy.
He has a place in Parker and has made many laps as a rider in the Crackerbox class.
He puts this event on to raise money for South Oceanside Elementary School.
They get about 150 cars there each year as well as a few flatbottoms and a Hydro or two(sometimes even a couple jet boats!)
I’m not a Car Show guy at all, but our group of boat guys support the event every year.
So if you get time, come on by.
I’ll be there most of the day sitting with the boat displays (might be a cooler close by with a cold beverage as well!)
Oh…and no Doo-Wop music!

They ask for a 5.00 donation for the school but not enforced. Whatever you feel is right depending on size of your group.
Good cause.

Was hoping to take a drive down for this but pulled up the directions and it showed it was a 2 hour drive from Torrance

Sitting down in my chair and look up and say what are you doing here..
It's Rick Dore (meet him numerous times from other friends that know him well).
Anyhow we are talking about cars n stuff.. he ask what car we got there... pretty cool for him to check out my ride n womans ride n like mine..
He said hes got another top notch build in the works.. he also told me James Hetfield (metallic) donated all his rick cars builds to Peterson museum..
I didn't know that.
