There are some other things on that lady’s FB marketplace page I would want to negotiate with the boat purchase

Pick it up Nic and turn it into an ADU for a client near the shore. 👍
Outside storage would be $500 a month alone for that. And not on the hill.

Doesn't look like Rolling Hills to me.

Rebuild the drives and motors for fuel economy,

Clean up the interior to the standards of 1981.

Replace the trailer, so you can take poker running, and have fun. It’s a classic, keep it a classic.

I thought that 32’ Spectre sitting on tires would have made a great cruiser, but you need a metal building in your back yard to store it, as the plan comes together, and you find the right people to work on it. Cost is not as important as pulling off the classic look. 😉

TRS drives..

Edit: I truly like the sentence - “ and it comes with a trailer, making it easy to transport to your favorite boating spot.”

Guess it would be a bit tougher to transport without one..

I love the classic lines of the boat, and yes, it's cheap but man anyone with any financial wherewithal would run from it. I would venture to guestimate it would cost 3 X what it would be worth to bring it back with modern powertrains, interior and trailer.

Leads me to a question I have thought about for a couple of decades, how long does fiberglass and resign hold its structural integrity? I work in the construction industry and have wondered the same about structural epoxy's as well as concrete.

… If nobody has posted this… If it is up in Palos Verdes, pretty good chance it’s been a saltwater boat most of its life… That in itself could be kind of scary🤷🏽‍♀️

It makes you wonder how did the seller, Karen, decide on that price. Who influenced her and why!
