Joe, there is very little doubt that all people change over time. That being said that isn't at all what I said.. I said I found them funny 10 years ago. Hearing the same joke over and over isn't funny. People that think that it is are nimrods.

I think that you are reading into things.. Much like when someone said years back "I can manage a boat drunk better then most people on this board sober" that later turned into me saying that, and change into me supposedly saying "I drive better drunk then sober." Later in life I repeated the first thing in a conversation when someone was blasting me with a challenge. "I'd wager I could dock a boat better flat out fucking wasted, then just about anybody on this board I can think of." I'll stand by that to this day..

As far as the "change" you are referring too, that was based on a comment after I had Sierra that was "I don't think having a kid would affect my weekend life much" and for the first summer it didn't. After awhile though I missed having my wife along with me, and then we had # 2, and now we are working on # 3 etc..

The thread "I'd rather be snorting cocaine of a hookers ass" thread was brought up to the top with "Why can't it be like this anymore?" The answer is relatively simple.

I had a very large group of river friends and we partied hard damn near every weekend. The economy took it's toll on a lot of them forcing them to cut back (myself included), Drama became a problem with a group that size, Drug use amongst some of them that led into a whole different set of issues, Divorces happened, one of us passed away, and a lot of us just went our separate ways over the years etc.. The main thing is we aren't all in our mid to late 20's anymore, or even early 30's..

Hell I'm 37 now with 2 kids, and the idea of a 1000+ dollar bar bill at roadrunner scares the shit out of me, to where I used to expect it.. LOL Overall though, as far as content for the site, the younger guys that are hitting it hard need to carry on that torch, because quite frankly myself and most I know are "past our prime" in the Partying and not giving a fuck who knows it stage.

Of course, the rest of us have always known, that statement was complete bullshit. Everyone changes. Everything changes. The only constant in this life is change! But good gawd, I for one hope the comedy on here NEVER changes.

It's not the comedy that I'm worried about Joe.. It's the "vibe." Chops are funny, and jokes are funny.. But with everything people take things too far. It gets to a point where sometimes they don't know when to shut up? Where quite literally you can't post anything without some arm chair quarterback making some snide remark about it. Then things go from "fun" to "negative" (which I believe is where we are heading and the purpose of this thread is to let people know that we have strayed from the course and to tone it back a bit).

Some people have chosen to make light of it (that's fine), some people agree with it, and some people disagree. It doesn't much matter because we are going to head back to course, which implies that if I see shit that is out of line, and or the other moderators see shit that I deem out of line, then it's gonna get clipped or moved etc..

This thread right here we are all reading it what RDP is about. This thread right here is the thing that prompts us all to day...

Joe, This is what "RDP" maybe to you.. To another member it might be something totally different, and even to another member different again. I talk to some people and what their vision or perspective of RDP is, is usually completely different then mine. People take different things from the place and ultimately it's like facets of a diamond. We are all looking at the same thing, but through our own facet to see the center.
