why are there 2 helm holes on this DCB? is it to have a driver and throttle man? do you just unbolt the helm and move it over? kinda cool... is it an option for all dcb's?
thanks for the great pics!:thumbsup

IMCO makes that option. You can switch out the steering wheels to either side for docking. Or really for any other reason you would want to be operating from the other side.
My guess.......it looks like the place for the steering column is built into the dash mold......probably just added the plate to finish off the look.
Likely want to have the option available for people that want to drive from the left........like "real boats" (read Shiada)
So I missed a letter....oops!!It's Schiada
Can't argue with that thinking but...........I think that Nordic is really upping their game, maybe not so much in the game changing design but in the continual evolution and the major commitment to quality that they have seen in the past few years. To me, all the builders boats are looking the same as past years with the exception of the DCB's DCB seems to be pushing the envelope further and further and setting the bar higher and higher.

The build quality and hull designs are off the chart compared to any of the mainstream boat builders these days.......the difference between Nordic and say Eliminator, Advantage, Shockwave is not only night and day but more like yesterday and today
The truly custom builders like DCB, Schiada, Skater, etc... of course are in a completely different class IMHO

So......I was taking about Nordic, but they are building very efficient designs, like a 24' Cat with a 300 XS outboard that will do 90 MPH out of the box for ~$85K according to them.I really like schiada, but what's this revolutionary new custom design you speak of?

But what I'm talking about specifically is the commitment to detail......everything on their boats is top quality, through bolted with all top notch hardware and built well beyond what was considered acceptable in the class just a couple of years ago.....take a close look at a new Nordic and you will see what I mean.
Hard to explain the Schiada thing.....IMHO you either get it or you don't. I've met very few people that "Get it" if they haven't owned one, doesn't make them wrong just not on the same wavelength.I agree with you about Nordic, I was actually talking about Schiada.
View attachment 264737 Didnt the exhaust originally come out of the top black hole areas on this boat?

That would be great.........Especially if it includes alcohol :thumbup:I appreciate your thoughts, we should talk boats someday...

Nordic has really stepped up thier game. Came very close to pulling the trigger on the orange 28ss last year.
Could likely make it fit but at some point you get into additional weight & Drag vs the increase in power to the water......at some point you get into diminishing returns.....not to mention the additional heat created by squeezing in the extra powerplant.......but it would be pretty cool:thumbup:I have a question for all you boat geniuses that frequent this website:
Could DCB make their 41 an aniline triple inboard with three 1350's?
There looks like theres enough room for a third engine in the middle of the other two. And because it's buit with a center pod a drive could be mounted in the middle of the boat. Humm??

dont get me wrong i love a nice tilted on its side million dollar DCB rig, but were there any small boats or flatbottoms at this boat show? some of the custom rigging those guys come up with is amazing. i love seeing stuff like that.
