Tim I have a question? How does this compare to the Howard I purchased from you a couple years back? I have someone wanting to buy mine and may consider this if the timing is right?
My understanding is the Howard has a little faster Hull? How does this sit in the water? My Howard is so low it is kinda of a pain to bouy up next to someone! Is this a physically a bigger 28 as in taller or is it also a low profile boat? What kinda of speed it have cruising @ rpm and a top speed?
I will be in Vegas 5-10th and will probably make a run to Havasu to look around if I decide to sell mine.

The boat sits higher than the 28Bullet in the water and is larger inside. The Howard is faster (I believe it has a more narrow beam than the DCB), but with this motor package it will do over 80 all day long. Ours has a Stage 3 whipple and will go 90+ with the right prop. Over the years I have owned two Halletts and a Shockwave. The DCB 28extreme is our favorite of all the boats we've owned, so much so I've owned our current one twice! PM me if you have any questions. Thank you for that info. So I did look at a 29Shockwave last time I was out there and they are for sure much bigger then the Howard. How is the DCB compared to that? What Shockwave did you have? Is it kinda in between or closer to the Howard? How does the DCB handle big water vs the Shockwave?

I had a 25Tremor, which was about the same height at the DCB (Shockwave's do have a high freeboard). , I would say the DCB is between the Shockwave 29Magnitude and the Howard. I've also parked next to a 28Bullet in the past and our boat was about a foot taller on the beach at the highest point. Best I can tell you is I have tied up to large DCB cats, an E-ticket deckboat, and other boats and never had an issue with the freeboard being to low. It is definitely not a "low-profile" hull.

As far as big water, the DCB 28extreme does a great job handling anything Havasu can throw at it, but I've never been in the ocean with it. It does considerably better than the 25Tremor I had, but not as good at the Hallett335, which is just a huge boat. The Howard does have a deeper V, which helps with speed and cutting through the water.
