Had the photographer through this morning with everything staged the way jockey wanted it. On the MLS and first open horse next weekend. We will see what happens......

I really want to rent but wife is giving a lot of push back on that so we are actively looking for the right deal. May get a appaloosa, not sure yet. Put an offer in on one this morning, but came in $15k below asking......lol.

Pictures of the listing of said steed? Bloodline documentation? How many dick measuring contests has he won?

Who is doing the 3d Video?

I got a guy with a $5-8K drone that could of taken a much better picture.

I am still using a Polaroid camera for my horse photography. I have a good Horse Staging lady that got me the hat, saddle, saddle blanket, chaps, etc....

Good to see . . . . At least, as yet, no CCHT (Ca certified horse trader) has jumped in and posted their name, address and phone number, just as a point of info, of course. And not looking for free advertising. Shows those CCHTs have some class. CCHTs know their shit.

Some really unorthodox shit is going on with the buyer of my horse. Yesterday he came in the horse with his jockey because he wanted to meet me and talk about our saddle system, whatever......meet him and assume everything is fine.

I guess in the initial conversations there was mention that I owed "somewhere around" $20k for the saddle system, well the payoff is $25k. His choice to pay it off, it was never brought up before they made their offer.

Now the buyer sends me an email directly this morning stating that he is going to be doing a addendum to the escrow because he won't pay over $20k for the saddle. He basically wants me to give him the tax credit I got on the saddle ($7500).

So basically now that we are half way through escrow I am telling him to fuck off and I am keeping his deposit if they back out since my stable fees started at our new barn yesterday and we removed contingencies.

This guy is really going to fuck a lot of horses because my horse is the last one in a line of 4 transactions so no big deal for me to cancel, he is the one that will either be horseless or end up screwing 3 other families out of their new horses.

What a nightmare, I want to shake his jockey for not controlling this guy.

Might be drinking early today.

Have you seen the horse market lately? It's a sellers market but I still want 6% for the pocket listing.

I have never opened Joes thread but can guess how it's going and why it's gotten so many posts based on what I read in this one. [emoji3]

I'm still trying to justify why the guy selling the million dollar horse has to pay 4 times the commission as the guy selling the 250k horse :headscratch:

Perhaps stating the obvious, but . . . Believe I can speak for all the Horse Jockies, Sellers, Buyers, Traders, Voyers and General TMs, CCHTs and non CCHTs here. This is not to make light of OSB's sell of his home. That is serious stuff. This isn't.

Because a % is a % if the products are of the same nature. You goto a low level restaurant and pay, you go to a high level restaurant and pay.. They both sold need but the bill is higher. The waiter or waitress at the high level is going to see a higher level of income per meal on a tip basis as well. Etc..

The guy selling Honda's might make as much as the guy selling ferraris based on volume, but the guy selling the exotic is gonna make more per transaction.

Dave, logic has no place in this thread.

I don't get anyone putting serious money down on horse ownership. My sister has been in to horses since she was 12 and I have learned first hand they are the most evil animal to ever walk the face of the earth. I hate horses. You cant trust them like you do a dog, takes constant attention, vet bills run a couple hundred a month at a minimum, trainers are the biggest flakes you will ever run across, people that say they love horses don't have the money to board them....I see it as a really expensive hobby, if there not on your property the person "boarding" the needy 1200 pound animal has no fucking clue what it takes to maintain these made of glass animals.

I have been bucked off and attacked by to many of these worthless POS's in my 46 years to comprehend why people spend the money they do on them. Get a frigging dog and call it a day. Horses are one step above of a cow, yet don't taste as good.

Dont bitch when gas goes back up. Oil companies only make a percentage you know :).

A guy selling Benzes makes more than a guy selling Hondas. There is more margin in Benzes.

Talking about an industry like food service and other forms of service where price is negotiable is not really apples to apples, however I understand the spirit of what you are getting at.

She has only sold 4 horses since 2005 and completely screwed up this deal by not controlling her jockey. She sent me this to apologize so I guess we are cool now. Time to move on to a new jockey.
