There were quite a few k9 explosive detection companies in AFG, at the beginning they used American contractors, but over the years I've seen them hire more and more Africans and Filipinos, they pay them WAY less and when they die it never makes it to US news. One of the larger companies over there that did K9 stuff was AMK9, I haven't read any news articles on the subject, but I wonder if these dogs belonged to them, they had operations at Kabul Airport.

The picture's not really clear enough to see, but I only saw AMK9 use German Shepard's or dogs that looked like German Shepard's.

Afghanistan has been deemed a level 4 (Do Not Travel) security risk for years by the US State Department. Both the Trump administration and then the Biden administration has been warning, helping and urging US Citizens to get out since 2020.

Then we have a very public military pull out that started well over a year ago, the Taliban has been taking territory since April of 2020, and a bunch of US school kids head on over there or don't get the hell out?

When does a little personal responsibility come into play? Or is it the government's job to take care of all people who knowingly put themselves in harms way despite months and months of warnings from both administrations?

Back when this site used to be full of Conservatives, the members thought people who traveled to a Level 2 Country (Exercise Increased Caution) should take responsibility for themselves.

Now it is the government's fault someone was not protected in a Level 4 Country (Do Not Travel) with daily news stories of the Taliban taking territory by force.

I’m having a hard time understanding how boots on the ground from Private to General would leave their dogs behind.

You could stack them in kennels 8 high if you had to. Have US Military dogs been left behind in any other circumstance in history?

Plenty of military personal have been vocal about this issue. Have any of the legitimate handlers (not someone’s aunts, sisters brother) publicly stated whether this is true or not?

Edit: I read RDS posts. So military personnel dogs did evacuate and contractor/rescue dogs were left behind?
