Well I have to thank everybody for the thoughts and best wishes. Although I have never met most of you, I feel like this is a family. We had a family get together tonite and we toasted her and shared stories. I had to say something and between crying and and emotions I thanked everyone for being there for me. Although none of these here were my biological family, they have become my family and I let them know how much they meant to me. Lots of love tonite, lots of tears and I will move on with their help. Again thank you everyone on here, this means a lot to me.

34 years, many good and some trying times lol, but she was my everything. Going to be rough. Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. Now I just have to figure out where to go from here. I think I’m going to take our dog, load up the Moho and Jeep and go up around Creede and Lake City, do some fly fishing and reflect. This is Charley my Jeep and motorhome companion. This summer will be 34 years married. Could not imagine. My sister that works with me has lost her husband 2 1/2 years ago. A lot of friends and family support and she has found things in the community to keep her busy. Sorry for your loss, keep yourself busy.

I'll be in Colorado from Aug 10-20.. It would be great to meet up in Lake City/Crested Butte/Ouray... Either way, fishing is good for the soul.. I'm so sorry for your loss..

A very good friend of mine lost his wife of 30+ years just a couple weeks ago. She had a crazy aggressive soft tissue cancer that was unbeatable. She found out before Xmas and just passed in June. She was 62 but still a head turner. Between the treatments and the disease her last months were awful for her and her family. She died in his arms.

The small family funeral was last week. There was not a dry eye in the house. 😞

It's hard. So hard. But you are not alone. Seek out a group to help deal with the grief. You don't have to do it by yourself.

I have to get the motorhome aligned on July 9th and the load up and probably head out a day or so after. The plan is to go east from Cortez to Southfork and then maybe dry camp and fish my way to Creede and then Lake City. Don’t know how long I will stay in Lake City but will probably be gone before you get this way. We plan to scatter her ashes somewhere pretty on Imogene pass on or around her birthday which is the 21st of August. I’m in Cortez if you come through here.

Sounds like a good trip.. It will be good to get out of the house and breath some fresh air. Our plans sound pretty similar, mine are Cortez,Telluride,Ouray,Crested Butte,Lake City etc.. Imogene is a great place to spread her ashes, it sure is beautiful up there. Sure can be a tough climb on the Telluride side with the steepness and loose rocks.

I echo the kind words of Wiile B, and all of the RDP family. My heart is broken, but please know both of you are in all our prayers. Nature is good medicine. You and Charlie will be closer to her there.

Dad is riding herd with all the dogs with St Peter up at the Pearly Gates, Uncle Buck, Grandma Laura too. She is surrounded by love. At peace.

Please know your beloved is now gathered together in heavenly peace with my son Billy, both my Mom's, SIL Debbie both Willie B's and WTG's beloved wives. Momma Trudy on piano too.

Words fall short. God's love and Godspeed Bob, Charlie, Y'all are surrounded to with love.

Dominate Brother Bob. Your trip sounds wonderful. We did same, took the little Fam houseboat out on Lake Shasta. Mother nature embraced us. She will Y'all too! Wild trip at the end. Talk story someday soon, Kind Sir.
God willing and the Creek, (Indians!) don't rise.

The herd is with you in Spirit. From the top. Bo, Tanner, Baby Grace!
Jackie Kitty on right. Grace 8 lbs, and Bo 27 pounds are Brother and Sister, same litter. !°°! Lol . Grace can say I love you.
Godspeed and safe travels.

Sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts. This hits close to home, I lost my sons biological mom to cancer 16 years ago. He just graduated high school this year. My mom just passed with cancer May 30th this year. You will have highs and lows, sad minutes and happy minutes. Just remember you always have friends when its a tough time, even if its for a minute, reach out, they will always be there to talk!

I'm sorry for your pain. Your Honey is no longer in pain.
I can honestly say, that whenever you want to talk with her... just talk, she'll answer you.... you'll have those conversations FOREVER...

I'm able to speak with both sets of our parents anytime anywhere... they've been gone starting in 2001 thru 2013.

Godbless
