Callbob I can’t even imagine the pain and feeling of loss you are experiencing. You were a great husband and did your very best up until your wife was called home, and I’m positive she was very grateful for this. Take your time and morn in your own way, speak of her often and in time all the good times and memories will start to take the place of your sorrow. We never get over a loved ones passing, we just sort of adjust to it and keep moving forward as they would wish us to do.
Celebrate her often! Lean on family and friends and Hang in there sir!

May she rest in peace. It's been two and a half years since I lost Martie after 43 1/2 of being together. It's not been easy, but time and family will ease the transition. There will be bad days that will make you feel helpless and lost, but thats part of the healing process.
Once the fog lifts, stay busy and take care of yourself, she would want you to.
The RDP family has been my goto when I get down. Always something to learn or laugh about.

Read this in the morning, and tried to come up with something to type. There wasn't much, but it's been on my mind since.

Lost my Mom to cancer 12 years ago this month. I lived with here 18 years, she was a huge part of my life, and part of the reason I have a life. Obviously a massive connection to who I am. My wife and I have been married for 24 years now...together pretty much for just over 30. She's brought my kids into this world, and tries to keep me grounded and sane...these are miracles, or fights, she works everyday.

Imagining what you, and others here, are going through, still probably couldn't do the actual experience any justice. That, or maybe our minds won't let us fathom the experience.

With Mom, I was happy she made it out. The existence she had left was not a life. The body she was left with was not hers. As her kid, I felt completely powerless, and guilty because of that. In the aftermath, I heard this for the first time, in reference to loss: It may not get any better, but it will get easier.
