Hell of a Monday....
I haven't had to make 3 trips from my truck to the post office in a long time...maybe ever. I have no idea how many orders went out today, but it was a record...at least 50...lowest value package was $60, highest was $1400ish. I've been looking in the news for sunspots or something....cuz it's been pretty slow the last 4 or so months....then a switch flipped over the weekend...and stayed flipped today. I'll take it.
Trailer is about 80% there....still need a couple slow days to finish figuring out where things are gonna go, but even as it sits, efficiency in packaging/shipping is improved by at least 4 times. What used to take me a day now takes me a couple hours.
Got a call from a lady that used to be a Product Manager at my old company...then moved on to 4WP, then got laid off a couple weeks ago....so I brought her on, 1st month cash part time, and if she didn't fuck up too bad, her next assignment was to figure out how to hire her. Her last day was Friday lol. Flat fucked up every single task I gave her. This is a woman that holds a masters in business and has been doing this for 15 years. As soon as she asked me if DRW was the same as 4WD...that was it.
She spent that 2 weeks "fixing" my exiting website catalog...which while incomplete, was absolutely perfect....so I spent the weekend deleting everything she touched and I'm starting from scratch, because it's faster and easier than investigating/fixing things line by line. Sucks. I got GM Sierra/Silverado 1500 from 1999-2019 done in 2 days. Now I have the rest of GM and Ford....don't think she touched Dodge, or anything else.
If stuff keeps up like today, I just might hit that half mil mark for the year.....but I'm not holding my breath.
