Where do you dive? Wife and I are new to scuba with 4 lake dives total. Was supposed to be in the BVI diving but now we are looking for ideas. Traveling out of AZ. Next planned dives are Laguna Coves in July....

We were going to Wakatobi Dive resort. There are some good YouTube videos from the resort. LOL it’s history now I fear. Our last dive trip was Palau/ Peleiu. It’s more advance, fast current diving, which was a bit sketchy for us. You can search on blue corner, ulong channel, Peleiu express for those areas.

We did BVI the year before Irma and captained a 36’ boat. Be sure to reschedule BVI as it was a fantastic trip, especially If you stay on a boat and move around.

BVI is already rescheduled for next April. I am captaining a 37 foot power cat charter with 4 people total!

Ok.... I will play!

I am currently planning a Bareboat Charter in the Whitsunday Islands, leaving out of Hamilton Island. For those of you that have done boat charters in the BVI....... you need to check this place out before it turns into the BVI.

I purposely left out the country in which the Whitsundays are located so that you have too look it up! You will be blown away!

The state has claimed that they are going to keep hawaii closed until May 31st. Personally we have cancelled two trips so far. We are going to plan a trip out of here in the middle of May. If we they don’t open things up at the end of the month we will hang out on the mainland until it is.

We had 4 visitors planned for travel to Hawaii That have cancelled.

For all of you thinking about coming here and skipping the quarantine you might get away with it.....

Just a FYI They did pick up one visitor and shipped her back from where she came When they found that she was not where she said she would be 4 days ago.

Yesterday there were two others found and they were arrested.
Sounds like you may live on one of the islands.....I'd be very cautious about anyone making any visits out to any HI islands for some time. All about cancellation refund policies for sure. My bud lives in Maui/ Lahaina and they're stopping all vehicles and asking where they're going presently. He says Maui has one hospital with only 300 beds and appx 180K residents. I got back to mainland 3/11 right before the madness hit. Whew.

Vaca planned for beginning of August in the OC, Ocean City, MD. that is. :) Made reservations in early March. Hopping everything is opened up by then. May have to have a mask on the beach which will be a little weird but at least we'll be on the beach.
Wow, Ocean City, MD.... didn't think I'd ever hear that town mentioned on this site..... I spent my high school summers working on the boardwalk down around 9th ST. Haven't been back since early 80s though. Boy was that a fun town in mid 70s as a teenager. I got a job as a bouncer at 16 at a cool marina nightclub with live bands. Lied about my age and they placed me at a side entrance near the stage all summer.... so much fun! Hope the boardwalk is still great for you.

All I will say is I'm having some trouble with my crews over in hawaii, not so much them directly but things that are going on. Lets just say the locals aren't taking too kindly to visitors showing up over there at the moment, and in some occasions things have gotten heated and even physical resulting in cops called. I know right now we are in the middle of it all and things hopefully have changed by your trip, but its something else to check out before you go and make sure that not only have restrictions been lifted but locals have cooled off towards visitors.
You're not kidding.... I returned from Maui 3/11 and the next week my buddy who lives there tells me locals showed up at airport yelling at visitors to get the hell back on a plane home. I'd still be there today if I didn't luck out. He has told me some wild stories since then. Islands had to get serious to protect there locals.

Have you been able to get confirmed bookings for flights?

American is saying ALL future flight are subject to change and cancellation. Not worried about hotels, worried about available seat capacity at a reasonable price as if they do social distancing on airplanes, airlines can’t keep cheap fares with 67% load factors.

No such thing as a cheap vacation if it is 30k for a round trip charter....... :(

We're flying Hawaiian and we do have flight confirmations. I'm sure they can cancel or change it but for now, we're booked.

Hawaiian airlines customer service SUCKED during this CV19 crap.... and I am sure it'll stay that way.

we were very thankful to have an awesome vacation in Maui when all this crap broke out in the second week of march. Everything was totally normal on the island, restaurants open etc.... but they started catching up on the craziness on our final day there. It was weird to be hanging out poolside with a drink, checking FB and seeing videos of fist fights over toilet paper.....thinking wtf happened back home lol.

When Canada opens up I would highly recommend the Canadian Rockies flying to Calgary anybody that wants any details post it and ask up. It’s remote it’s beautiful and it’s extremely reasonable there’s no place like it in North America. Banff and Jasper national Park area.

We have several cancelled plane tickets to use. Cabo or Hawaii probably. Maybe Ambergris
if I can talk my wife into it.
Check out Placencia Penninsula. That is our favorite.

Yes, I am on Oahu and yes the authorities are starting to check up more on visitors. LOL. They were surprised that some of the visitors were not quarantined as they agreed to. Duh....no one checked on them in the beginning they are not going to be in their rooms. The ones that were caught were shipped out today or faced jail time.

SMH on both sides. Visitors come here and don’t do what they needed to do, QUARANTINE. And the government not opening things up even though the cases are very low compared to other states. The governor is afraid of things blowing up if the visitors bring in the virus and medical capabilities are overwhelmed. Now that the hot spots in WA, NY and other places are under control and medical staffs are not slammed we are only 5 hours away from being bailed out if ever needed. But NOOoooo Ige needs to close up everything and crash the economy.

Love the OC!!! The boardwalk is always a good time. We stay at the Hilton on 33rd St.. and don't drive the whole time we are there. 2 reasons, 1)everything we want is with in walking distance, and if it isn't we Uber. 2) Cocktails start around noon so we are in no shape to drive. :) We usually go the week of The White Marlin Open the biggest ocean fishing contest on the East coast. Millions$$$$ up for grabs. We like to go down for the weigh-in later in the day. LOVE the OC!!!

We and some friends currently have a trip to Belize scheduled for the second week in June. I have ben saying for a month we need to cancel and reschedule domestic. Looking at something like Yellowstone sometime in June. Keep the dollars domestic and have more control on how things go.

Folks had a place up in Rehoboth, DE most of my childhood. Best months are Oct and April my friend. Depending on your age and family set up you may enjoy Dewey & Rehoboth as well. ~30-45 min north. Cheers

Just spoke with my Maui buddy; he says entire island group only had 6 new positive test results Sat/ Sun and Maui itself only had two.... that's great to hear. Islands did good job turning the tourist away it appears. Won't be too much longer before planes and boats full of cash welcomed back.
