I have had this 87 since new. It’s been a going project. This will be the fifth set of wheels in almost 40 years. It seems smoothies are making a comeback on older vehicles. Give me some good options and directions.😎

I'm an old school dinosaur and hate clown shoe wheels and dainty ass rubber band tires on old stuff. Put some manly meats on that thang! Run the hoopties on the new stuff.

Painted steelies with stock Chevy poverty caps would look cool or maybe chrome steelies with chrome caps.

Smoothies on 72 and earlier ok. ‘52 even better. Square body, chasin trends. I personally don’t care for the giant wheel trend. Your truck has a good ratio, sits right. Do what YOU like.

I love this truck in Dazed and Confused. I like this wheel/tire size and ratio for older trucks. Not saying the wheel style is it, I think that is personal choice. I guess @ChiliPepperGarage 's comments above made me think size and ratio vs. wheel style.

Dont see many Square body trucks with smoothies. more popular on the earlier trucks 40's and 50's
This^^^

I think if you did this it would look “off”. You have to match the style of the truck with the wheel/tire combo. On my two squarebody k5’s I wanted a vintage off road look so I have skinny steel wheels with dog dish caps which are correct for the year. On my shortbed fleetside squarebody I have custom rally wheels, but billet wheels look great as long as you don’t go over 20”. Too many people bolt on 22”+ wheels and it kills the originality of the truck but that’s just my opinion.

your truck looks good with the torque thrust style wheels you have especially since you did t go too big. With the wide array of wheel styles out maybe just find a different style

That truck is going to look great with any wheel on it. Have you looked at the stock looking larger wheels like the Detroit wheels Delray's or the US Mags Scottsdale wheels?

Never a fan of smoothies, even as a kid when it was the style
Right there with you Dan. When I see smoothies I think that they went cheap on the build. But don’t get m e wrong they do look good to me just cheap. 👍 I say get what you want.
