If the tritium in the night sights is good, that's a deal!

i got mine for $240 dollars plus DROS. That is all the CHP had to pay for there's. Just FYI not a bad deal if you have to pay retail it is much more than 4 bills.

240 aint bad, but after you pay that, it will still be a Smith!!!

LOL. I have a few Smith PC pistols. Want to go shoot? Smith had some management issues, etc, but there guns really do the job. I have a 945 PC and a .44 Perf Center Hunter.

I have shot pistols and guns my entire life. I would carry these all day if my life depended on it. I am a happy customer, and that is really all that matters.:thumbsup

Just some thoughts... The 4006 is a solid pistol and a pretty good duty handgun for uniformed patrol, CHP has loved theirs. However, for civilian CCW, the 4006 is a bit heavy, the safety is not ergonomic, and you give up a few rounds compared to other designs, you might find yourself better off with a G19 or M&P if carrying concealed.

still a smith huh.. i've had this as my daily carry weapon and put countles rounds thru it. oh, did i forget to mention i purchased her on 9/11/1989 better than those plastic jobs imo:skull
i put the cl next to it to show how compact the 6906 is. also it's 12+1 capacity makes it a fantastic ccw weapon

I could never get used to the backwards ergonomics of the thumb safety/decocker on the S&W. The new M&Ps have the "correct" 1911 style thumb safety which I much prefer. They also have the changeable backstraps which help customize the size of the grip to the shooter's hand.

that was the key in choosing this weapon. they had a test weapon and first shots were center mass at 20':D grip felt good and the thumb safety took some getting used to but.. it works for me and thats what matters i guess

I use to carry my 1911 every where.... then I moved to a county that would not renew my ccw.
