I have a Samsung "Smart" TV about 7 years old. The primary TV source is DISH and it is also connected to the internet for YouTube, Netflix, Prime, Paramount +......etc. All of the streaming stuff was working fine until today. Now, YouTube has no sound..........and Paramount + has the menu but wont play any shows. Dish is fine, Netflix is fine, Fox Nation is fine. I have rebooted everything........switched the TV from wireless internet to LAN (wired) and back to wireless. Still no youtube sound not any Paramout+ shows...............any help ideas? YouTube and Paramount + are fine on my laptop.

Have you tried updating the apps?

They are just apps made to run on a internal drive in the TV, they still need updates.

Somewhere in the owners manual is a way to reset the entire thing, you might need to "reboot" it.

I know on my Samsung TV that Paramount don't always work. I have heard other Samsung tv"s have problems also with Paramount. I just hold the power button till the tv shuts off and reboots.

I’d still go into your settings and do a manual update. Even if it set to auto updates. Sometimes it doesn’t grab all of them. This should update all your apps as well. If not Go into each app and check/ do updates

I was watching Suits on Netflix last night, mid show it stopped playing and the Netflix app disappeared from the Roku menu.

I had to do a search for the Netflix app, re-load it, sign in with email and password, then everything worked!

Too much technology!!

We have this on one tv, but it happens no matter what app we are using.

Paramount plus had a conflict for nearly a year connecting to Samsung TV's, and although I could cast from my phone to the Samsung TV with no problems, I could not connect to my Samsung TV. I called Paramount Plus and they would issue me a full credit every month until they finally fixed it a few months ago. You just need to keep calling and bugging them, and they will work with you.

Unplugged the TV......waited 15 seconds and BAM...........everything works now!!!!!
I also learned this while using the Samsung TV. If your apps are slow to load, the Samsung tech recommended that while the TV is on, unplug it for one minute, then plug it back in. The Samsung stores the data on a built in memory card, and once it gets full, the apps won't load. As Gramps said, unplug it once a week, the memory gets cleared, and the apps load perfectly.

Keep in mind that most smart tv's do not actually turn off when you press the power button but rather go into powersaver/sleep mode. To shut it completely off you'll need to hold down the power button for 5-10 sec and it will shut down.

Having Too many apps will create a problem also. I leaned this the hard way.

Go into storage and delete Every app you can. TV's and Firesticks work better, with more memory available to them.
